Are you growing indoors or outside? At what stage are your plants (veg or flower) and how far along into said stage (IOW 2 weeks into flower...etc) are you?

From your description, it definitely sounds like mites. If you are growing inside and not too far into flower (IOW no hard buds yet), I would first take it outside, and spray the crap out of it with plain water - paying special attention to the undersides of the leaves. This is to knock as many of the little bastards off as possible. Let it dry naturally, then bring back into your grow room after you treat your grow area . With no plants in the grow room you can get as nasty as you wish with pesticides. Make sure they target mites. For the plants, spray the top of the soil and all leaf surfaces with some type of neem product (neem is a natural mite deterrant which inhibits their ability to breed - so don't expect instant results). You will need to apply this product about every 10 days (to catch the mites emerging from eggs) until all signs of mites are gone. I hear Einstein Oil works well.
If you don't care whether or not your approach to rid yourself of these heinous creatures is "natural" or not, you can use products such as Floramite, Spinosad, or Avid (do some research). If you are in flower, you have to be really careful here...that is unless you don't mind smoking pesticides. :o

Best of Luck...they aren't easy to get rid of!

Badly:-(

Since they are outside, you can spray them off with regular water (mites hate moisture) then treat/spray with a neem product to keep them at bay every 10 days. You will likely *never* get rid of ALL of them growing outside, but you can keep them at managable levels.

Oh as a side note - you might try better soil on your next grow. That soil you have looks too finely granuled/dense, and likely isn't allowing air to the roots of the plant.

thanks alot stonefish +rep.

This plant is lucky to be alive right now as it is haha. Had it in the ground and a month ago had to dig it up cause of people comin into the backyard to work on the electric box. So when i dug it up i had to use the dirt the workers dug up in my backyard cause of time. So now it sits in shitty dirt. Its startin to turn purple the limbs are purple and the pistols are goin purple as well. :-P

you could try and buy some ladybugs. i dont know how much they will stick around but if there are a ton of mites maybe they will not stray far from a food source ya know?? just my 2¢.

LOL - I feel your pain on that one! Darned electric company coming into the back yard is what prompted me to start growing inside! Bastards never even rang the doorbell, just went on back...I had 5 plants on the back patio that were around 14 to 20" at the time. I was shitting myself with paranoia for weeks afterwards. Unless you live out in the sticks, you'd be better off growing inside. Did you know that in a lot of USA cities, the electric company workers are PAID to rat you out? Yeppers - sucks but true.
If you are unable to grow inside, maybe a greenhouse with opaque panels and a lock for the back gate?

<sigh> When oh when will "they" just leave us growers alone?:weed:

That just isnt right. I had a little warning cause I was out back treatin the plants and the guy was on the other side of the fence and said "hey how do I get over" so when he left to come over to my house I cut down the huge one that was unsaveable and put the little one in a pot and hid it.
I was also paranoid for weeks after that.

Maybe this would do the trick? (Borrowed from fellow RIUpper/Thanks)

If you do the ladybugs, I think you need to release them at sundown/dark if they are to hang around and feast?

Take a misting water bottle that has the trigger on it.
  • Cover just the bottom of the bottle with dish soap (I use the orange anti-bacterial kind)
  • Fill 3/4 with just tap water
  • fill remaining 1/4 with white vinegar
  • shake gently, not too much though or you will have lots of bubbles, lol
  • spray all over your plants, under the leaves and the top of the soil unitl a light coating is on there (don't get it sopping wet)
  • leave on at least a few hours or over night
  • spray off all the plant ( I do this with clean water in the spray bottle)
  • bugs gone, shiny vegetation.

you need to reapply 3-4 days after the first application to kill all their young and disrupt the life cycle. otherwise they can reoccur. I would go into more detail, but the others have it covered. Nice work.
