Cindy - Day 31

This young lady will have her first top job in another day or so at her 5th node bringing her back down to her 4th. I will most likely top again when she is ready and stop topping after that. She will also be LSTd to keep her low and bushy.

Jack - Day 31

I haven't grown a Jack yet so anyone willing to throw in some good technique to do with this one, if it should be topped or not. Otherwise I will probably do the same with both, top and LST.

They are not that big for 31 days since they haven't been receiving much light, but now I can focus them on the light and hopefully in the meantime the roots have dug their way down nice and deep and its all ready to start showing them beautiful leaves, stay tuned!

I'm new to this site but have grown using cfl successfully many times, you need to get your lights MUCH closer to your plants. CFL's are great for veg, you can grow bushy plants with minimal stretching if you keep the lights within 2-4 inches. Not trying to be rude but your plants look like it came off my current 4 week olds (from seed) branch. don't start over, just move the lights closer and they will love it

Alright, this is my journal for growing 2 different strains like ive done before just fine, everyone was friendly and liked the way I grow. I plan on doing that again. I knew some people would take this grow the wrong way, thats why I stated these plant did not have much light to begin with since other plants were still finishing, so i started them a bit early. I probably should even post the veg days anymore since it really doesn't matter, they will go into flower based on size. No, the plants don't look like shit, infact they look very healthy, your just saying that because its been a month and they were still like seedlings, i realize that.

Start over huh? I don't think we need extreme measures like that... just a closer light source. Nice plant btw.

UPDATE!

Alright, so they took well to the topping and everything seems to be fine. Every other day I bend them the opposite direction so the light can get in on them lower nodes. Take a look and let me know what you think!

UPDATE!

This morning I noticed they are showing their sex, which is fine with me, instead of growing 2 big plants, which I really don't have the lights for, I'll grow two medium sized plants which will also work better for my setup.
Alright, so preflowers on both plants as of today I will keep them on a 12/12 schedule now.

Cindy

Jack

I'm not surprised they went into flower, they were on a wacky light schedule, sometimes they would stay in the flower room on a 12/12 for a day or two, I usually take them out and set them by a window, but it is August now which is the flowering season around here. So let me know what you think, were they ready to go into flower or are they vegged long enough. Also should I transfer them into 5 gallon buckets or leave them in the ones they are in?
Thanks!

doesn't look like your giving them time to even spring back up. When ya train them you should give them 2-3 days to straighten up. Then train the branches out from the others and defoil abit.

I tie them down in the opposite direction every 3 - 5 days, The pictures above are from when I watered and retied them down a few hours earlier, they are in the middle of facing the light. I don't understand what you mean train the branches out from the others and defoil abit?

Just Google it man. Every time I need an answer for something that I don't fully understand. I just look it up and do research on the subject and it comes back positive every time.
