Jacks Classic?

He guys it looks like max dose for jack's is 1 tbl per gallon....I've been giving my plant 1.5 tsp per 1/2 gallon now 3 straight times now.....I'm somewhat confused on ppm.....I mean if I mixed up double my mix I would have a gallon with 1 tbl of jack's in it......

Question: can I go higher than 1.5 tsp per 1/2 gallon ? Or would that be too high ppm or something ? I think i would like to feed every time rather that alternate....Thnx

Fwiw: the plant has reacted well to the feedings, and does not appear to show nute burn.

I have never used more than one tablespoon pr gallon on even my outdoor in-ground plants.

Because I like to feed them with every watering, I usually use apx. one teaspoon pr gallon on my indoor HID plants.

Btw, I use ProMixBX with additional dolomite lime and perlite and vermiculite as my medium.

quite often less is more. trying to jam as much as possible down the plants' throat (or roots lol) often results in more negatives than positives.

well I was just trying to catch up with the plant's deficiencies with all those doses...I just wonder how much I should feed her now ? I think I would like to get into the habit of feeding every time rather than every other.

I start at 1/4 tsp/gal when she starts looking a little hungry, then slowly go up from there, haven't had any nasty problems yet. Definitely need to have that CaMg though LOL

Well I've been feeding each time I water...she takes a half gallon of mixture...I use 1.5 tsp of Jack's....Plant is responding very well....

Question:

Can you use Jack's right up until harvest ? And, I believe I read somewhere that you don't have to flush if you use Jack's...Is this correct ?

btw: I have been mixing the classic and blossom booster together...Was thinking of just switching to the blossom booster for the last few weeks to bring the N level down....
thnx, SC

Do not bother to flush.
In my experience flushing is useless.
In the dosages you are using your plant(s) will be fine.
Try and keep as many leaves as you can nice and green and productive right up untill harvest day.

Happy Harvest!

I had someone irl (not experienced) say that you should let the plant die off the last 2 weeks or so without any nutes....Have you been using your method with Jack's for a while ?

is there a difference in your grow by using the Citrus? i'm currently using the dynamic duo and am wondering if
adding that in the mix would do some good or i could just wait until my next grow to use that.
I like the Citrus FeED only because of the simplicity and the happy, healthy frosty buds and greener leaves provided.
IMO, healthy, happy productive leaves provide frostier and better buds.

I have been growing buds for a very looong time.
I gave up flushing a couple of decades ago after running side by side comparisons of the same derived clones.

My conclusion was that flushing is pointless...I have not flushed any of my plants since about 1989 or so.

hey guys, my medium is promix hp, ewc, perlite, and DL.....I've been giving her 1.5 tsp of blossom booster and or a mix of the BB and the Classic at every watering mixed with 1/2 gallon of water...

Anyone think this is nute burn ? Or perhaps some kind of deficiency ?

Browning on some of the leaf tips around the plant...and upwards canoeing of leaves mainly on the leaves coming off the main cola....

It's day 54 of 12-12...strain is supposed to flower 9 to 11 weeks...

i disagree, leaf tip burn when the rest of the leaf is green usually fert burn. leaf curl can be nitrogen toxicity that will go hand in hand with overfeeding. i'd cut back on your dosage, maybe use same amount but only feed every other watering and when you give it plain water make sure some runoff is allowed to flow out and dispose of it. this will help keep excess nutes from accumulating.

cheers

oh and looks like that plant will want to go at least 2-3 more weeks. lots of filling in/bulking up left to be done :)

This does not affect the taste at all ? Like it won't make the weed harsh or anything ? I'll still have a smooth smoke ?

Plant is gettin' there

Another couple of weeks or so and your plant will be ready to harvest, flushing the plant makes absolutely no difference whatsoever...IMO...
I prefer to keep the leaves green right up 'till harvest, 'cuz the buds like it!
If the buds like it, you will like it!!!!

Not sure if I stated it or not but I am using Floralicious Plus along with the Jack's....FP feeding calls for using up until the final week before harvest, and then it says to flush....

Wavels, I know you say not to flush the Jack's but what about an additive like this ?

FWIW : I am now at exactly 10 weeks on the 9 to 11 week strain. Gettin' nervous...Thinking I should at least stop the FP, but unsure of the flushing part.

here's a few pics from the last few days
