Jacks Professional 10-30-20 With Coco

I honestly do not see the problem with using this fert with Coco. The plants are seeming to like it. I do at Ca/Mg and some molasses. What is the downside to using such fertilizer in a Coco medium? So far, I have seen none.

The only downside is for the cannabis specific nute manufacturer and salesmen. Good for your pocket bad for theirs.

Thanks Polo. I was just wondering if it was just hype, especially for the members here, for AN, GH, etc. Mine in Jacks seem to be doing just as well as the others in my tables using the 3 part GH. I think I will stick with the Jacks. +rep.

What do you Jack users use to supplement? I used cal/mag, kelp and a GH root enhancer.

Jack's professional is not 10-30-20, that's Jack's classic.

Yes, I am using Jack's professional 10-30-20 Blossom Booster. I supplement with Cal-Mag and use molasses every 3rd feeding.

My bad. It looks like both classic and professional have the same 10-30-20 formula. I thought it was different because Jack's sells a hydroponic formula called Jack's professional hydroponics, and that's not classic.

I can't see any problems using their 10-30-20 bloom booster in coco as long as you supplement with calcium nitrate (which you're doing with cal-mag) or use limestone (can't flush this, so decide once) in the coco.

The only issue there could be is that hydroponic formulas should be low in ammonia and urea forms of nitrogen, and high in nitrate nitrogen. With coco, you get some leeway on this, but in DWC, you really don't want urea. Hydroponic formulas should get the majority of their nitrogen from calcium nitrate and potassium nitrate.

What about mixing a half and half formula? Like half strength 10-30-20 bloom booster and half hydro / calnit/ epsom so you still get a P boost but still a quantity of S,Ca, and Mg
