Jews Turn Against Obama

By: Ronald Kessler
In a stunning turnaround, President Obama has lost roughly half of his support among Jewish voters.

A poll by McLaughlin and Associates found that, while 78 percent of Jewish voters cast their ballots for Obama, only 42 percent of Jewish voters would vote to re-elect him. A plurality — 46 percent — would consider voting for anyone else. That compares with 21 percent who voted for John McCain.

In an article for Newsmax, on March 16, 2008, Kessler incorrectly reported, based on a previous Newsmax story by a freelance writer, that Senator Barack Obama attended a service at Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ on July 22, 2007, during which Rev. Jeremiah Wright gave a sermon that blamed world suffering on "white arrogance."[19] The Obama campaign denied that Obama had attended the church on the day that sermon was delivered and other reporters discovered that Obama was in fact in transit to Miami, Florida on that day.[20] Newsmax posted a "clarification" while standing by the story, suggesting that perhaps the sermon occurred on a different day in July.[19] Shortly after the controversy broke, Kessler confirmed to TPM that he attempted to remove information documenting it from his Wikipedia biography.[2

Sooo, maybe he will also have to retract this this story, eh?

Obama sat in Wright's Church for 20 years and this type of rhetoric was common.

Med, you have proven beyond a doubt that you are a rabid anti-Semite. You're not fooling anyone.

so when a person who has erroneously on Obama in the past is called out for being a little less than a reliable source = anti semite???

are you serious???

anyways, Obama made clear that his administration would not condone new settlements by Israel since before the election. maybe the jews should've been paying more attention.

p.s. that qualifies as an insult.

You ought to try a little honesty some day. You know damn well that Med is against Jews every time. And his statement was pure BS as I demonstrated. I like the way you try to twist things though, very stereotypically leftist.

No, the last statement is a fair one. I hope I have opportunities to point that out to them in the near future and I'm glad they are finally getting it.

i'll clear something up real quick,

Antisemitism (also spelled anti-semitism or anti-Semitism) is prejudice against or hostility towards Jews, often rooted in hatred of their ethnic background, culture, and/or religion. In its extreme form, it "attributes to the Jews an exceptional position among all other civilizations, defames them as an inferior group and denies their being part of the nation" in which they reside.[1] A person who practices antisemitism is called an "antisemite."

according to wikipedia. love that site.

nothing in his statement showed prejudice, animosity or hostility towards jews.

he was talking about how unreliable that author is.

read and understand other people's statements and intentions before labeling.

Wow.... The only thing proven here Rick is that your a raging zionist. Why do you feal the need to shove your BIAS opinion's down peoples throat all the time? Your beliefs are crystal clear... Anyone who doesn't agree with you is the enemy("rabid anti-semite"):wall:. My people are better then your people... yada yada yada. History has proven that this way of thinking is very dangerous. From ancient egypt, to the romans, to the nazis.........

Haha, ricky bubi....you're a funny one.

You do realize that crying about 'anti-semitism' as soon as someone disagrees with you is the equivalent of playing the race card, right? And frankly, it's not even that good of a card....

Here's one jew who will most likely be voting obama in 2012!

Did your parents teach you anything about honesty?

The fact that you are trying to parse Med's comments as a straw man argument is but more proof of how dishonest you are.

Let me set the record straight. Med posted what he did because he was trying to refute the argument that Obama has a history of relationships with anti-Semites like Rev. Wright. The crux of his argument was that the author of this one statement lacked credibility because in this one instance Obama was not present. First, this is an ad-hominem attack against the author and second the argument lacks credibility because we all know Obama was in the Church for 20 years and Wright has given many such sermons. There is zero chance Obama did not know about Wright's inflammatory rhetoric.

Therefore, Med's post was itself nothing but an obvious lie. It is also obvious to anyone who reads Med's other posts that he is ALWAYS against the Jews and has made his hatred of them clear.

Therefore, my comments were fully justified. I know that you already know this and that you are making me explain all this (as if everyone doesn't also know it) for the sole fact that you are a lying, disingenuous douche bag.

If you can not muster a reasonable amount of intellectual honesty, perhaps you shouldn't post.

From you I would expect it. Nice avatar by the way, it really says a lot about your character. By the way, I know Jews go by birth, but in reality your religion is Liberalism; and you are a raging fanatic.

Count my fiancee as one jewish voter for Obama. Both her parents too. You will likely see her mother working for Obama's re-election in 2012 in the great swing state of Colorado. Oh, and all of her grandparents in Florida.

Good luck calling me an anti-semite Rick! I happen to agree with Med and abe on this one
