Blue Dream (Bagseeds)
P.O.W. 33 (FEM)
Northern Lights X Skunk (FEM)

Germd the Blue Dream about two weeks ago, have three Blue Dream in Veg that are slowly progressing in Happy Frog Potting Soil

Germd the POW 33 and NL X S last week and just transplanted from the papertowel to the pot with Happy Frog Potting Soil

Also soaked 4 more Blue Dream Bagseeds in water for 24 hours. They cracked so I then put them straight into soil to see if there is a faster process.

three blue dream at 14 days into grow

In the bud box, I have three purple bagseed that have been in flower for 60 days, about a week out from harvest I think, as well as some other bagseed that I am attempting to scrog. I topped them and got them all setup for the scrog and they will fill up the side of the screen nicely. I am running a 400hps with cool tube and 6 inch inline fan staying from 72-79 degrees and humidity from 40-60%. I recently ordered a 600hps with a booster fan and will likely replace the 400 with the 600 and attempt to fill the screen this winter once the blue dream, nlxs and pow33 are ready for flower.

left side of box is buds almost done flowering and right side is two weeks into 12/12, just tying down the stretching branches.

Watering new germ plants with straight water in the Happy Frog Potting Soil

Flushing the almost mature buds with straight water to break down the guano left in the soil

watering the new flowering plants with AP guano, high nitrogen for first 3 weeks, then water for one week, then switching to low dose jamaican guano.

2013 Grow 018.jpg2013 Grow 014.jpg2013 Grow 013.jpg

Using 3 gal smart pots for indoor, Bio root for transplanting, clonex for power cloner, and seaweed for iron def. Also keeping my guano tea with a air pump running to keep fresh as well.

Any tips or advice is welcomed. Will keep updated

Decided to harvest the left side of the box today, they were starting to show some amber trics on the lower branches so I pulled them. They look wonderful, and got them hanging in a darkroom in the basement with a box fan on #2 setting and letting them dry. Dry time will take a few extra days because I did not get the flush cycle all the way completed, but thats ok.

Also, the P.O.W. 33 decided to make an appearance this morning as well showing itself above the soil. This is the first seed I have ever ordered and germinated so its a happy day for me. It will be a really happy day when my stash dries and cures too!

Drying of the last harvest went well, now curing in cardboard box then to the jars soon. I recently upgraded to a 600 watt hps and a new cool tube hood with better coverage but I am now trying to control my temps. I have the setup in the basement, moved the fan cooled ballast into the veg side of the room because it acts like a little heater. I am currently using a 6 inch inline fan and a 250 cfm booster to exhaust the room, but it is failing to do the job.

So I went on amazon and got an 8inch inline fan that boasts 750+cfm and some 8 inch flex and will pick up a 6-8 reducer to adapt to the cool tube setup. I am hoping that this will do the job, but if not I always have the backup 6 inch to help out.

Quick question about the exhaust setup. Is it beneficial to put the smaller 6 inch inline fan ahead of the cool tube, then the back of the system close to the exhaust port, run the 8 inch fan? Will the smaller fan hinder the larger fans efficiency or will it act as a booster if the 8 does not pick up the slack? I also have the small booster fan to vent with if needed as well. I am currently doing some bag seed scrog to keep going while I get this new setup going.

Another option is to use the smaller exhaust fan and use a separate exhaust port near the top of the box. Again, will that hinder the flow throughout the room or will it improve the air transfer? I have a six in opening close to the floor of the basemen to draw in cool air. Not a genius at the physics of airflow but I know that you guys and gals are a wealth of knowledge that I need to tap into!

Any experience would b very helpful.

Thanks

JH

Well both of the Freebie NLxSkunk from the tude were duds, never cracked in the cup of water and when they came out of the towel they were rotten. So I decided to germ four c99 in its place. I think I have my exhaust issues solved at this point and time and I am pretty sure based on my calculations and some good advice that the 8 inch should do the trick.

Here is the Setup, Apollo 600 hps with 30x26 in cooltube reflector. got some mixed bagseed females in the scrog now. Got the new c99 baby girl popped and I am nurturing the blue dreamveggies and will flower them once they are all about 12 in tall.

So a new development in the JimmyHamilton 2013 grow season.

I have 4 Female Seeds C99 in pots, and three out of the four pots have small seedlings. The wierd thing is that two out of the three pots have two seedlings in them instead of one. One larger one and one smaller one. Here is a pic.grow 13 two plants one seed 008.jpggrow 13 two plants one seed 005.jpggrow 13 two plants one seed 004.jpggrow 13 two plants one seed 002.jpg

Has anyone ever seen this before? I left them in the glass of water for a little over 24 hours and they were fully cracked when I planted them.

The blue dream have been showing signs of nute burn or ph problem. Got a ph tester and my ph was in the 7s. Got a ph control kit and got my ph levels back to normal in my water and am going to feed an entire week of straight water and get my soils flushed a bit. Will post pictures on the am.

Leaves are looking up today in veg.

new problem has arisin. My basement ambient temp is way too high to run a 600 w light in the box even with the 8 inch fan just can't cool it. I do not want to go as far as getting a ac unit for the room because it is not a permanent setup and needs to be stealth. I am going to try and switch back to the 400 watt hps in the summer months and see if temps go down.

Nice Very lucky to get the blue dream bagseeds.

Yes they were an outdoor bag seed and the seeds Are from other blue dream males that were accidentally planted in the batch so I am 90% sure they are blue dream but there is a chance they could b a cross. O well the bud was dank when I got it so hope it is the same

Nice I run a 600 with a 420 cfm fan I think its 425 its around 400 to 425 cfm 6 inch fan cools my light and room fine. If it's 70 degrees out side my room the inside temp of grow runs 72 to 74 degrees. Everything is vented out of the house. Good luck on the dream I have some of the rem on the way it's suppose to be a good blue dream will see. I have 2 HSO Blue Dreams in veg only about 2 or 3 weeks old.

yes what I have now learned is that my ambient temps in the basement are too high for summertime flowering unless I want to install an AC window unit in the basement, which looks funny but may be my only option. ac units are on sale at walmart right now too. very tempting!!!
