OK every this is my first journal on here so bare with me.

I have been growing my j-1 strain for about 71 days in veg. (at first I had minimal wattage, so it grew slow at first) ALSO...mid way through my plant had an encounter with my cat. He flipped it and crushed half the plant. It has healed and is looking great since. NOW, I am at a total of 4x27w 5000k, 2x23w 2700k cfls.

I am using foxfarm organic soil, with "General Organics" nutrients. I have 1x12w computer fan cooling off the leaves/bulbs.

The closet space is 7 foot tall and 4ftx4ft. I am growing 1 single plant AND TRYING TO GET AS MUCH OUT OF IT AS POSSIBLE. I have been lst'ing. I will probably start flowering when it is about 2 1/2 - 3 ft. Right now it is about 1 ft tall.

Here are my pics:1. top picture of my feminized plant 2. set up of lights.
Enjoy and give me some feedback.....I will be constantly updating until the end of the harvest/curing process. :leaf: THANKS FOR CHECKING IT OUT GUYS! :leaf: I'll KEEP YOU POSTED!

looking good, keep those CFL's as close as you can(the 2nd pic looks far away from the tops), get those puppies 1-2" from the tops and it will keep it from stretching!

The only reason they are far away is because....well I had them about 1- 1/2 inches away...and the leaves started curling just at the tip of the leaves, as they were coming out/ Tacoing a little bit, so I backed off. Maybe I need more fan power...not sure yet, I will be rigging another comp fan later today. THANKS FOR CHECKING ME OUT GUYS! that stokes me out.

got a small fan blowing on it? If not..do so...direct it so its at canopy level and aim'ed up just slightly to take the heat away from the CFL's and you can get em even closer :)

QUESTION: Hey guys....I am currently running a total of 4x27w 5000k, 2x23w 2700k cfls.

I AM ABOUT TO GO INTO FLOWERING....

Should I do ALL 2700k's?

Should I do 5x2700k, and 1x5000k -or-

Should I do 4x2700k and 2x5000k?

:bigjoint:

 Looks good. Might try some side light. Also some guitar playing would be cool! :peace:
THANKS MAN! I DO want to try some sidelight, but dont have the $$$ for the 2-4 clamp fixtures/extra fan needed to cool those extra bulbs. But yeah, I am just going to do the best with what I got on this grow.....And slowly acuire stuff for my second one. I am going to start flowering on wed, or thurs. Wish me luck. :)

in regards to the light spectrums needed for the flowering stage, you basically want to reverse your veg...so go to 4x 2700's, 2x 6500k's...your plants still use the 6500k wavelength and its good to keep a couple bulbs in there at a 1:4 or 1:3 ratio of 6500k:2700k for flowering :)
