Just a Quick Question from Auto Fowering Growers

I've never grown an auto flowering strain befor, however it does look like one could do quite well with the shortened overall grow time. So I have looked into it a little, as anything that speeds up the proccess and yeild would be a help.
So my question is this: How does the auto flowering varieties stand up to the non- auto flowering strains when it comes to the Quality of the smoke? I've grown Indicas, sativas and hybrids with very good results and good quality smoke, can I get that same quality from an auto grow??????

agreed, you wont have as much variety, so, basically it will be close to the crazy medi shit. My diesel ryder stinks up my whole garage and its only 10'' tall. real small ha. some will give you a way bigger yield tho lol. but if you will avg between half and a whole o id say. great for newbs...

i've heard a grower saying that noone has ever complained about his auto weed, or even noticed... it is ment to be a little weaker then most photoperiod strains (on paper).... but any plant grown properly and harvested at the right time would be better then most of the damp shwag bags available on the street, imo

I def agree man. there are some top knotch strains that can't be beat, like always. but for the most part the autos are pretty awesome. I think poor strains are usually just bad phenos with the autos I would say.

So what auto flowering strains are the 'best' for quality and quantity? I currently grow primarily indicas, and indica/sativa hybrids ( White Rhino, THC-Bomb, ICE.... Is there anything in the auto flower lineup that compares to these strains??? Or is this trying to compare apples and oranges?

All above is true but if you are looking for quality and quanity I feel Nirvana NL has been the best for me. Short stuff MI5 and Onyx have been good also. But most of all I have learned to plant in the container I'm going to grow in NO TRANSPLANTING. I use 5gals with 707 soil and very often produce plants over 60+ grams. Also almost all hate nutes as much as transplanting so less is more. Plant and enjoy !

yeah what this dude above me said about the nutes too, i give mine like 1/4 strength and thats my full strength... i only actually give them nutes about 4 times in its life maybe 6 tops. I love them.

my afgan kush can get produce up to 22% thc... thats def almost as potent as bud gets..
thats pretty cool... might look into that one.... i do like the look of GWS auto .... but heard folks moaning about it taking much longer then suggested to flower (might just be poor care) but that sort of talk puts people off

Another question about auto's: Can one reliably propogate them by letting a male polinate a female and get just as good of a quality as the originals? Or do they tend to go downhill as some crossbreads do?

as long as you cross auto with auto yes you can propigate reliably, and find your favorite traits (phenos) ..
