my 15 year old lab passed a few weeks ago. i wasnt looking forward to potty training a new one. a friend found a retiring work dog.
newest addition to the family is a 5 year old lab/golden retriever mix that was trained the first 2 years as a work dog for a disabled person. he has retired from the job due to a non serious medical condition that the owner cannot deal with. (dont mind my sketchy details.. i dont like to give too many specifics because im paranoid of KGB... here in russia only a couple of places to train a dog like this)
he has served the last few years as a work dog, living in a small townhouse. now he has over an acre fenced in to run around. but he listens like you wouldnt believe!!
sit, down, stay, come here, heal.. walks beautifully on a leash and still right beside me without one. cant wait to see what he is capable of
