just an extractor fan - will it be bad for plants

i have an outside brick shed that i grow in, its about 3ft wide, 10ft high, 10ft length.

currently has 11 plants in it.

anyway, they stink, so ive cut a circular hole in the door, the carbo filter is on the outside, and the fan blowing air through the carbon filter from the inside.

if i don't have a fan blowing air in, and just have air blowing out, will the plants be starved? need to keep the extractor on to kill the smell.

Its fine to extract air from your room, but you will also need an entrance for the air. The best thing to do is to make your entrance hole slightly smaller than the exhaust.
Then no odour will escape through the entrance hole.
Eg: Exhaust is 300mm hole/fan, make your entrance hole for the air 200mm or so.
If you have NO entrance for the air, the exhaust wont have much effect as it will create a vacuum in your room (depending on how air-tight the room is)

Get it? :eyesmoke:
