I don't even weight mine before they are dry, because it is kinda depressing. :bigjoint:

Now I don't like to weight the stems either, just buds.bongsmilie

I usually weight them when I put them in the curing jars, just to get an idea of what I've got. :eyesmoke:

Actually I use the weight drop to aid in calculating wetness as part of my dry and cure process. When the weight has dropped by 70% i cut them off the hanging branches and let them sit in a couple of large opened resealable containers. when they get the right fell \I mason jar them. couple of days burping and I am good to go on in the storage cupboard. dark, cool.

Just so you dont think I am gonna weigh everything I tag a couple of branches per plant. weigh those for the ratio...

I am not depressed by the shrinkage. It is part of the natural process to get to my happy place.

thanks again if im looking at around 70% loss i should get 10 oz from 31oz in theory i know ill prob get less but one can only hope :D

No disrespect intended, but once you get that cleaned up, and trimmed you won't yield near what you are expecting.

There is nothing to those buds - they are light and airy, and mostly made up of leaves once trimmed there will be nothing left.
Also you are weighing ounces of stems that yield nothing - just trying to tell you the truth.

too true i will bear that in mind i have had several guesses from 6 to 14oz so we will just have to wait n see what i end up with once theyre dried n cut i will update you all once i know thanks again for your input peeps
