Not so great outdoors. I could fill that with one plant. Not good indoor either , it leaves no vegg room but you have to deal with the hand you are delt.

It's useless to go bigger than the 2 gallon pots. They will grow as big as you want in 2's.
9 pots per 1000 watt about 2 feet on center.
I have a 10x20 GH set up here(200 feet)so I can build 5 foot wide raised bed x 10 feet long(50 feet)than put another 10x20 attached to the first GH,run another 5x10 planter box and stay @ 100 feet.
What do you think will fit in there?maybe 10 trees...

Started them flowering roughly 7 days ago. Should I put a screen over them? They've grown 1.5 ft! In a week! I don't want to risk any issues. Tempature right under the light an inch away is 79
Yes put up the net now and do some training to fill the holes. This run I got lazy and my 1 gallon hydroton pots are falling over from the weight of the buds

You need to be at least 2 ft away from the light. How many feet do you have with that said and what strain is it.
They were a mystery seed grow from some top shelf shake. I just know two are sativa and one is indica. I turned the dial to 600 HPS last night instead of 1000

First off...nice frikin crop TWS....sure is pretty. And to the op....you paid a little too much for that setup. Its nice but they got you a little. And as far as that yield master 6 from Sunlight Supply...alot of newish growers get that hood. Its cheap...but there is a cheaper hood that reflects more light just for the simple fact that the ends where the flanges are have reflective aluminum on it where as the yield master doesnt.....i think anyways. The old ones i had didnt anyways. You can get the Hydrofarm Xtrasun 6" (used to be called the Lummi 6" for about 85$ online or at local store for about 90$. It actually makes a difference having reflective panels on the flange ends. With a simple foot candle meter you can check this yourself. Take that fuker back and get that Xtrasun 6". Its cheaper ans a better hood.

Well I bought a net last night and put it in. I didn't bend the main cola down. I did however put the net in places where it shouldn't get any taller and should hold them down. I also pulled the branches under this morning again, last night they grew from where I'd placed them. I have around 20-30 tops and 10-15 of them are showing on top of the net.

A cool tube is a step down in light spread than that hood. Its in the inherent design of cool tubes...they suck compared to regular horizontal air cooled hoods for light spread. Cooling the bulb they are nice...but thats about it.

I sure like this hood better than that old reflector wing with a 250 in it. The hood stays 79-81 right under the glass almost touching. I have another good 20in to the light bottom. But that's about it.

I'll get a few more grows under my belt and I'll start looking at a new ballast and lights a year out from now (or when the current setup burns out).
Your on the right track. Your ballast should be fine. Once you got some rips under yer belt and whatnot....slap a halide in that biltch and use her fer a veg room. Thats what i would do. You allright man.

I would love input on some on some ebb and gro bucket systems from you guys. I am going to buy a 5x5x7 ft tent and want a new setup. What's the difference between rdwc and the ebb and bucket system? One is recirculating and ones a drip system?

Whatever yer growing in now...trust me bro. Stick to what you got fer a few. Do NOT get bedazzled by the hydro system claims for rite now. Walk before your ready to fly. Them bucket setups are way overpriced and require a diligent and on top of it grower to anticipate the changes. Again...trust me. Learn with what u got. Ive spent thousands on bullshit purchases. Alot of would be ebb and gro bucket cats.....there systems arw sitting in a corner in there basement collecting dust. Not that they dont work...but....just listen to me homie. I will NOT steer you wrong.

Agree you gotta walk before you run, but I wouldnt fear the hydro once you got a little experience under your belt and can read a plant.
I may be a bit biased :bigjoint:
