Just started germinating. Worried I buried too deep

I just started germinating some beans in the pots they are going to grow in. I read everywhere a half inch down, but i stuck my finger in the soil up to about my middle knuckle and dropped the seed in the hole for each pot. is 1.5 or 2 inches absolutely too deep for the initial planting? Or will it still work out ok? If it is fine, I am starting a grow journal on here to track.

Thanks in advance for the help!

that's very deep; going to be very hard for the seed to push through all that soil to reach the light. I would unbury the seed and make the hole shorter.

This might sound like a stupid question, but I planted them last night and went back this morning and reburied them, not enough time to crack the shells right? Just wondering because I got this strain of Big Bud Feminized and the beans that came in were pale and weak looking. I am hoping for the best, but we'll see.

good for burying them not as deep, but give the seeds a little more time to crack. next time i would suggest germing them in a paper towel then putting the sprout into the soil root down. better personal experience doing it that way but good luck.

Make sure it's a warm and humid environment, if it's a good seed you'll see it in 48 hours, Good luck
