After two failed soil attempts with crap lighting, I bought some real lights and made a DWC system. Below are my supplies...

DWC Setup:
25 gallon tote
20 gallon air pump
3 12" airstones
5 5" nets

Lighting:
600 W sunmaster cool deluxe MH lamp conversion
600 W AgroMax HPS lamp

Seeds:
I bought Afghan seeds from Nirvana for a previous grow, got a male in the mix, and now I have lots of second generation seeds. I'm germination now using paper towels on top of my modem.

Nutes:
Open Sesame 5-45-19
Beastie Bloomz 0-50-30
Cha Ching 9-50-10

I think thats everything, I'll get pics of my system up, once I get the plants going.

I germinated 10-12 seeds, I've got 7 of them in dirt right now, waiting for them to sprout, and 3 I put directly into the DWC system. Also, I'm using my fluorescent flood lights right now, until the plants get bigger.

I checked up on them this morning. They're doing well, growing their first, and second sets of leaves, really tiny right now. The roots are growing great, the water level is all the way to the top of the bucket, maybe an inch below. But the roots are starting to grow into the water.

I got impatient with the seeds in the soil, so I pulled two more out and inserted them into the hydroton. They are doing much better now, have sprouted and are groing their first set of leaves. I'll take pics tomorrow. The other three plants are stretching for the light a little, I lowered the light as much as possible, I'm waiting for the plants to get a little bigger before I put the 600W on them.

The plants looked like they were really starting to stretch, so I set up the 600W MH bulb, so there's a lot more light in there now. Its about 2ft to 2.5 ft above the plants. The plants do look very green, second sets of leaves are coming in as well. No nutes yet and ppm reading is at 220.
