Kannabia Seeds....they should be on your wish list.

I stumbled on Kannabia Seeds when searching for a strain with very high THC. Their Mataro Blue was on not one, but several list with 25% THC. They bragged of a pretty quick flower time (in reality about 9-10 weeks) and promised a good yield.

I don't know if the Mataro Blue I grew hit 25% or not, but it's pretty strong weed. The buds were the most dense I've ever grown, and they yield.....well, how's 7.75 ounces for one plant? I got 6.5 ounces on another.

Honestly, I don't consider myself a good grower yet, and was more of an amazed bystander than anything growing these plants.

Kannabia's secret ingredient in many of their strains is "Black Domina" that gives rock-hard dense buds, a very hearty plant, and above-average yields.

My experience with Kannabia is not a rarity, those that have also grown plants from this breeder have chimed in and confirmed they had great luck with them.

I would like to start a thread for those of us that have grown anything from Kannibia either photo-periods or autos (they have a great selection of autos...but I've never grown any). This breeder has been under the radar for too long and deserve to be on everyone's wish list.

I'm growing five of their Karamelo strain, and so far it's following the MB's grow pattern which is a good thing. That grow is in my signature (30 oz from 5 plants).

I've also started their BCN diesel, Karabean, and one of their new strains Faraona.

Great looking buds. But I'm honestly confused. I realize you replied once on the Bodhi thread, but after you posted this, I'm wondering why you're such a fan boy - no disrespect intended, but you said this:

  • I'm running into the whole taste thing myself. While Mataro Blue is a strong strain, and has amazing bag appeal, the smell and taste are like smoking clove cigarettes. It just doesn't smell and taste like good weed. I'm sitting on a ton of this weed and when given a choice between a more familiar smelling strain and this, my friends and customers always pick the other strain.

Did their power skunk photo and white domina auto a few years back. I was very pleased with both. Would recommend kannabia to anyone.

And I actually answered your post there, but will try to do a better job here.

Have you ever picked up a can of what you thought was a beer and almost choked because it was a Pepsi? It's sort of the same thing with Mataro Blue (I'm ripped on it now)....it looks like Colombian gold, but taste much different than that. My description of it tasting like clove was probably a bad comparison as I don't think the taste of MB is bad at all....just different.

An ounce just left with someone here and they were very impressed with the taste and buzz from this weed. On a scale of 1-10 taste-wise.....I give it an 8.5 as I really like the taste of skunky weed better.

Out of the other? I alternate smoking different strains all the time so I don't build a tolerance.....and yes, it gets better with a cure as most weed does.

The "other" was Amnesia and the people that went home with this strain over the MB preferred the smell of that strain.
