Okay Heres the question; Should I kill the smaller plants on the right and center the larger ones on the left and train them to fill in the side space. I have to switch to flower soon prob 1 week at max as the larger plants will out grow that room if I don't. Like everyone yield is important so thats the motivation here. OKay the differences are the Larger side is 1 week older and have been FIMed; They will be 30 days old on the 29th. The smaller ones have been LST as my original plan was to test the two techniques side by side but the differences in size makes that hard, I really like the way the FIMed one responed. The res on the right developed slim its been changed, treated and problem fixed but it did do root damage. So should I kill the smaller ones or let em live. Oh all plants are clones of the same mom.

I think that you will probably get better results from the grouping on the left if you center it under the light more, meaning if you remove the plants on the right from the grow the ones on the left will be better. But at the same time if you had the set on the right develope a few weeks after the first set you will have more yeilds. It's definately a tough call, but personally i think you can make it just as glorious as the group on the left if you tried. I would work on trying to make them both grow, let me know how it goes.

Have you considered simply raising the container with the smaller plans to be the same height as the larger ones?

All you'd need is another container, or even a couple cinder blocks propping up the smaller plants container.

Well. I would almost always say keep them, But in this situation I think moving the good ones directly under the light would be better.

Here is an idea.

Put the rez on the left (The big plants) directly under the light.

Transplant the small plants into some small hempy buckets, place them on each side of the big rez on blocks so that they are the same hight.

Thats what I would do any way.

By the way, your plants look great for 30 days. Time to start flowing though, unless you want monsters.

Can you tell me a little bit more about your set up, I am growing in a very simlar set up.

Two Rez, the ones on the left are doing much better. I let mine go natral, I Veged for 21 days, they have been flowing for 11 days now.

I had bad clones thats why the ones on the left arn't so good.
I'm using a Veg 400MH/HPS Flower
Canna Nutes and Canna Zym

Really injoying DWC. keep us posted hey.

PS. these pics are from a few days ago, they are a bit bigger now. I will post some more when the light comes back on. good luck

I considered that same thing but I believe if I remove them completely I could bend the plants on the left side out allow some lower branches to grow up and probably fill in the remaining space. But I will see might be a good Idea to try as a backup in case the training goes bad.

Some more info well Ph about 5.5-6. I'm using an a and b mix nute solution at 120ml of both. Air temp 80-85 with the door cracked if I close it is goes to about 90-95 after a few hours. Water temp is scary high at 70-75 but I added an extra air pump to compensate for this high temp and have not had any problems. Air pumps are all located outside of the grow room. When I FIMed the left side there only seemed to be about a day of shock were the plants didn't grow and then they shoot off growing faster than before. Hence the reason they have over grown there sisters. Lighting is a 400 watt MH for veg and I'll bring the HPS out for flower. Light cycle is 18/6 I only have a dark period now because of the water temps it lets everything cool off from all that heat and they seem to like it better than the plants I grow on 24/0. Hope that answers all you questions if you have any more just ask. Thanks for the advice as well and good luck with your grow

Sounds like a great idea.

For me a lot of the plant doesn't seem to be gettig a lot of balanced light, lots of shadows on inner grow.. Maybe trimming some of the inner leaves will give you a better bud supply and allow your babies to bush up a bunch in the middle.. may as you said hang some lower on the sides as a supplimentry supply , But not as strong as overheads
Good luck
