For the electrical box here is what I did-
Supplies you need.
1 4" box
1 extended metal face plate
3/8" clamp for the cord
wire nuts
raw extension cord- I used fourteen gauge.
Two receptacles

I just used some extra of the raw extension cord at 15 amp rating just like the outlets to wire the box up.

How its mounted in the box. Top right corner upside down so my wifi controller fits.

Here is how everything is mounted-

I will be shortening the cool tube cord tomorrow I think it's is causing rf noise. It's like 15 feet long.

Full cab shot with three ladies-

I lowered the lights after the picture.

Cool to the touch!

Now I need to light proof

WiFi controller? gonna ask stupid question: but is this so you can Control/Monitor from laptop etc, different location?
Sounds awesome if I'm reading it right

Wow Pro job there Keif.Good luck and keep posting!
Hey buddy, I appreciate the feedback, I will keep updating for the grow. I may just make a how to in the Grow Room Design section.

Looks like it worked out nicely for you.

Subbed.
Thanks, it came out okay. I was just discouraged because I put so much planning in and then got the wrong fan sent to me in the end. But I think this could be for the better. The fan runs at half the speed and the same CFM as the one I wanted. All you can hear is the woosh of the air moving, not the fan (which is an issue for me) I need to make a duct muffler.

Thanks man.

The wifi controller is a switch made by Belkin. It can be programmed to turn on or off at whatever time you want. I am using it as a timer and an emergency kill switch if someone needs to enter my apartment. I have an iPhone app that allows me to control it. I am going to order another for my veg cab as this one is what I was using there originally and another for the main power on the flower cab to shut the whole thing down if someone comes in unexpectedly.

You can use ifttt.com and automate these lights to do certain features such as texting you if the lights get shut off or on, or programming them to turn on or off when the sun rises or sets. It is calculated every day per the actual time of sunrise via IFTTT weather app.

I will be using this feature come spring to have a mock outdoor grow indoors.

Heres a link to the switch-

It is made for home automation but it works great for what I have it doing..

I'm liking the wifi idea. Might try it on a later project. Good idea
Thanks man, it works really well. Also, it is meant to handle large appliances like dishwashers and laundry machines. It can definitely handle the ballast! It holds 15 amps..

TBS, thanks man! I really appreciate the compliment, eases the stress of things not going as planned.

efficient and clean install Keif! just sick!!

sub'ed!
Thanks mate, I truly appreciate it!

After the feedback, I guess everyone is not as discouraged as I was to not go with my original plan of running the utility shelf. Now that I look at it, I think I can actually bring the light up an inch higher without it!

I will update tomorrow with new pics.. Or tonight if I can get my damn phone to work on the forums.

Heres a bit of a plant update-

Four days flowering on all of these (since monday 10-14) They have their stretch going, especially that OG..

Probably 15+ tops on this thing. I cant wait to see what it produces, I have no idea what kind of yield to expect, never done HPS, never done this strain before..

Thanks brother.

I use GH 3 part Flora Series.

3-2-1 in veg
2-2-2 for a few days as they get used to the HPS
1-2-3 in flower, yesterday was their first feeding of this.
When I get my cab finished I'm going to be using the Blue Planet Nutes synth line.
I've heard nothing but good things about BPN.

So today-

- I light proofed a bit more

- Cut my cool tube cord down to about 2 feet from 8 or so.. It was too long to tuck away and I think it was causing some interference with the ballast. I could hear some RF noise..

- Installed some of these- They are magnetic locks for child proofing things. They can be released by holding the key (magnet) up to the outside of the door. I put two on the top and two on the bottom. Stealthy ;)

- Re-wired my fan and installed a collar to fix the cable too, same used on the outside of my outlet box. Basically just keeps the cable from pulling out..

- Fastened all the duct work with hose clamps now that I know I will be sticking with this setup for a while.

Hey man. I found the locks at Home Depot and that image on google.

So the Hawaiian turned out to be a male but I love it's growing habits and planned on spraying it with collidal silver to get some beans off of her but instead I threw it outside and I will collect some pollen from it soon to cross with my madman og.

Should be a dank cross.
