Kelly Decision and Scales

Reading the Kelly decision, one of the indices of dealing is the presence of a scale near the grow, and also, the dude was charged with having just over the dry weight allowed...

So question is, how can you be sure you are legally under dry weight limits, without owning a scale. And if you do own a scale, it indicates you are a dealer...

Feel me?

^^what he said. That's a hard choice to make. Get yourself some nice kitchen scales and if you get busted, tell them it's for cooking purposes. Idk. Lol.

Postage scale..problem solved. "Needed the scale to weigh packages, never used for illegal/illicit/drug purposes, officer" - I'd just keep it in a different room/area than your stash/grow.

Edit: I guess they would need to define "near the grow" - is that within 5 feet, a room, across the house? Any lawyer (shit, even myself) could make the argument that it is absurd to catch a possession for sales charge because you own a commonly sold electronic device..Thats like saying you can't have bags in your house (aka "near the grow") because then you're packaging for sales or some bullshit..ahh why can't we just legalize, regulate, and tax it? fuck
