I just got back on here to find out about LED's. I want a light to put in a 4x4 tent. I will be replacing 800w hid's. I'm really not interested in a diy project. Im sure this has been asked but the search on here aint the best.

I'm interested in the Kind k5 750w or prefab led that will help me get nice yeilds with less heat and energy.

Is anyone getting results with these? If so show me what your working with. Grow journals, results, info ect...

Please, this is a spot for non-Diy'ers
Shit talking wont be tolerated. If you want to build me a light, will consider it.

Kind is garbage. Cheap components, aggressive drive current, fancy looking case.

You will be disappointed with your purchase.

There are a few companies making luminaires that justify the departure from HID. They are new so there really aren't many grow journals to "back up their claims". If you do a little reading and educate yourself you will understand the components they are using and what makes them better than the Kind k5. Once you understand the science, grow journals are irrelevant.

I think @JimmyIndica has a modular lamp in the works that you can daisy-chain and cover a 4x4

Good luck grower!

Thanks. I've been in contact with Jimmy. Im looking at this Cx9 now. If i can replace 800w of hid with one of these Cx9's for the price ($850 after discount) that might be the way to go.

I dont know. I started the thread to gain info.
If they don't mention it, doesn't that stand out as a warning sign? If they used efficient diodes, wouldn't they mention that as a selling point? They're not bashful about self-promotion, so... I think it's safe to assume it's just epi-whatever diodes like MarsHydro, eShine, et. al. But, sold at a premium like brands which use Cree, Osram, etc.

You could get the same watts from for the same price from Area51. If Kind's LEDs are indeed epi-whatever, you'd be getting 50% more useable light, less heat. Also a lifetime warranty (replacement parts at cost, not a throwaway). And, supporting a business that thinks outside the box, pursues the marketable leading edge (not just marketable rebranded Chinese imports).

Im sorry you got me confused. Are you saying Cx9's dont state the diodes or the Kind?
