when i cut two i generaly cure one jar while i smoke the other .... it does taste nicer with a three-four week cure... but not nice enough to wait that long... when its dried i'll start ... the next GOM will cure while i get busy :-)

lol. thats whats up. I wanted to cure because of the taste but it takes a month to do that? I thought it was like a week long process. And what do you use normally to cure in? just a mason jar?

yeah i have a couple of medium sized mason jars .... its enough as i only take 1 or 2 small autos at a time .... i got 3oz of dried bud in them with room to spare .... it took me best part of two weeks to smoke the first ... but that was some over the christmas period down time too .. so it got a pounding ... the second jar i opened daily for an hour or so ...and yeah the weed had a deeper nicer taste and the harsh smell from the left over suger leaves was sweeter then the first ... but hell it all got me stoned to ***K so i wernt bothered either way... its really important to dry you weed but not over dry it .... then let the moist air out of the jars over a period of weeks ... if you fast dry it or over dry it ... you'll ruin the taste period.

Ok so you kinda do a closed 23hr-ish, open 1hr-ish in a mason jar to cure. And you do that for about 3 weeks to a month? I was reading to dry them, you cut the plant at the base (for indica) and you hang it upside down and cut the fan leaves, the secondary leaves and lastly the trim leaves closest to the buds. Let everything dry in a dark, fresh aired place for about 2-3 weeks untill the branches are easily breakable then you can move onto curing. It also says you can have good bud to burn 2 weeks after the harvest but its better to wait at least a month. And if you cure, leave the buds in a jar for about 8 weeks opening them 6 hrs a day and shaking them around every couple of days as well. Does that sound good or right? lol I really just wanna harvest and dry them to smoke because I'm impatient lol. But if we can do 1 plant at a time in a cycle, 3 seeds altogether, then I can have 3 different plants in a years time while one is getting ready to be harvested, one is finished curing, and repeat lol

there are so many ways to cure your smoke and everyone knows or practices a different way.... if you hang your buds in a cardboard box (i pushed a wire through and bent each end) and hang that in your grow room ... then let them dry for about 7 days ... they will then be ready for the jars ..... if its still soaking wet then its not ready .... but a little sticky is okies.... if its mostly dry then opening the jars for more then an hour will continue to dry your buds ... having the jars closed draws the wet from the centre of the buds to the outer edges... and then opening them again lets out the moist air ... when you have your buds perfect opening them again is pointless.... IMO.... then it just sits there waiting to get smoked

i will be moving soon and will be upping the amount i grow at any one time .... when i have more bud then i can smoke in two/three months i intend to do some more curing tests to see if i can improve what i'm doing already .... but what i smaoke tastes better then anything i've bought before

Yeah... it seems that theres like 100 different ways to cure bud lol. Your jar method seems to sound pretty legit though. Do you fill it to the brim or you doin like half of a jar full? I hate to keep asking you 100 ?'s but I really need to learn before I get to that point lol

its fine bro ..... while i'm "curing" i only 2/3 fill the jars ....that way you have space to tip and mix them up while there drying/curing.... once they are finished i fill one to the top and leave it...and work on the other jar until its empty (2-3 weeks) then i start on the one thats been curing longer :-)

sounds like a plan. We're hoping to get at least two mason jars so I think we'll def. be trying your method. thanks for the info!

UPDATE:
Received seeds yesterday (on Bob Marley's birthday oddly enough). We started to germinate the Tut seed in a glass of water at 4:20ish. It sank within 4 hours. This morning around noon it, cracked through the seed shell, so we planted it in its soil. We went out today and got a thermometer and humidity gauge.
Our temp and humidity is currently at 84 F and 35% humidity.
I know our temp is a lil high ad our humidity a lil low. How do i raise humidity? I've put a bowl of water in there but nothing is changing. I've cut some of the excess lights off to drop the temp a bit but I need to raise the humidity.

you could try a tray with water in it ..... ... but my fav method by far is the damp towel (try a smaller one if your tight for space)... its amazing ... try it .... temp is fine for the veg stage, little more ventilation needed for flower maybe try fiddling with air in and out... its all trial and error

ok. well I removed the hommade "carbon filter" pantyhose and that dropped the temp about 6 degrees so now we at 77 F and the bowl added about 3 percent so now we at 37%. I am def gona try to hang a wet towl method though. Do i do that WITH the bowl or just the rag by itself.?

just try the towel by itself .... i went from less then 30%...to over 50% with a single damp handtowel

hellz to the yea. ok I'll try that when I get back from work. I'm leave it the way it is for about 4 hours. come home. switch it out. chck it before i got to bed. wake up. recheck see what it looks like lol. precciate the infor man helpful as always lol.

Update again:

heres 2 more pics of our shiz.

What's reading out as a result

now mind you the seed was just planted today. I'm just trying to get the humid/temp right for it to grow.

Also..... light time suggestions. Right now its a 24hr on but we were thinking of stepping it down maye to like 18/6 or even 20/4. what yall think?

UPDATE again again: So we got the rubbermaid to its actual location. MASSIVE DIFFERENCE. Temps went down and humidity went up. super-bloody-stoked. Now i just await the arrival of King Tut out of the soil and we'll be some happy doods. MetalChef666 should be posting pics up soon. Thanks Troutie for the suggestions. DEFINITELY WORKED!

Here are some updated pics of the seeds , sorry didnt take any pics of the germination process, we got pretty excited and went straight to soaking one in a glass of water. Well it sank and then we placed it in a wet paper towel and sure enough a day later a taproot popped. She is growing in the pot as we speak .

UPDATE: So I think the King Tut seed is a dud. Probably somehow our fault down the line but regardless........
So now we've decided to germinate the Madness seed (world.of.seeds.) and see what happens. It's sitting in a papertowel right now. Almost 12 hours in.
