yep....it looks like the myc has taken control over the pest..Myc will fight it off if it isnt too bad.

Well, so much 4 this thread....both trays are contaminated!! I will never use coir again! I had this problem when I used it before, but couldnt find verm anywhere so I had to use it. Word from the wise...dont use coir unless you have nothing else to use! I could probably still get mushrooms from the trays, but it would be 1 shitty flush. Now I have to clean out both of my FC's so the next batch doesnt get contaminated. Oh well, shit happens!

That sucks man, sorry bout the bad news. I'm kinda surprised that my KS tray didn't get contamed, being in the same FC. But I tryed to be pretty carefull when I was scooping the mold out of the burmas.

As soon as you see green, the trichoderma has already released millions of spores and your casing is done for. Casing dont last long either. 1 or 2 flushes before trich takes over, even if it wasnt contaminated beforehand.

I prefer to use bulk spawn, with h-poo and straw. Or just leave it uncased.

Depending on your current outdoors temperature, you can make an outdoor bed with your casing and the mold will die and the shrooms will grow.

It'll contaminate because thermophilic molds such as Doratomyces spp.(Black Pin Mold), Trichoderma(Green Mold), Dactylium Mildew(Cob Web Mold) are all stimulated at temperatures starting at 80F. Which is why for all incubating 75-78F is ideal. Substrate temperature regardless strain of Cubensis is 83F for fastest growth but with jars, several degrees of heat are produced(a process called Thermogenesis). So, for fastest growth go 80-81F, for rye jars go 75-78F. Colonization speed is measured by moisture content, gas exchange, amount of inoculants, temperature, etc....

Wrong on the Bulk Substrate/Casings/Cakes They'll last as long as the food is still there. Once it starts giving off mutations after the 3rd or 4th flush, bury it 6 inches under in the garden.
