I just saturate my veg plants before putting them in the bud room. Let them dry in the dark as the water drops on the leaves will fry them if put under intense light wet. Someone said let the lights dry them. Do Not Do That!! Just spray right before the lights go out. Same with the veg turn the lights off until dry.

I'd release the hounds. The spray only hurts them when sprayed on them. Once dried on the plants it won't hurt them any. I use Safer's End All II with added neem or canola oil at 10ml/L. Got a few of the buggers left over from 'free' plants I got from a buddy over a year ago. Makes the buds taste like shit tho so the ladybugs are your best bet. They just fly up into my HID lights and get fried. :)

Do your best to get rid of any bugs before you start to flower. They'll take over if not dealt with ASAP.

yknow, these mites came into my garden the same dam way! lol came from a guy who gave me a couple hybrid clones (strawberry cough x gorrilla glue) his whole crop was infested at 8 weeks of flower and he didnt even know it until we found em.

I tried all kinds of garbage to control the mights but this is what finally worked. It wiped them out completely. Says you can spray on flower but I don't past 2 weeks. Kills them and there eggs. NPK industries Mighty Wash. It's premixed and says $40 but on line it's about $30 or less. This shit works. View attachment 4330732
That stuff is the same as what I use but much more expensive. The Safer's End All II has Pyrethrins with insecticidal soap and I add my own neem or canola oil to it. That jug is about 8-$10/L and I can make 10L from a 500ml bottle of concentrate for $15 so $1.50/L. You're paying a lot for water and getting basically the same thing.

You really don't need anything fancy to get rid of bugs like mites. Consistency of treatment is the key along with making sure that not a spot is missed when you spray. Lack of consistency has been my problem. Within a day of spraying new mites have hatched from eggs as the spray doesn't kill those very well and within a couple days of that the babies are laying new eggs. I'm spraying every 2nd or 3rd day now to make sure I really do get rid of the borg. Hate those bastards with a passion!

Good luck to anyone afflicted with mites in their gardens!

Mighty wash is good ,I personally use azamax for real problems. .I start a neem spray treatment right after they come out of cloner or pop up and they get sprayed once a week till flower .I haven't had bugs in years.

Not wise to put wet plants in the dark!!!! how you get pm. Humidity spikes at lights off sure don't need to add to it.And been at this for over 25 years and never seen water being sprayed on leaves burn them from the magnifying effect I call bulshit on this one.

Any effect on end product?

I stop using neem at flower as it will stay in the final product although not harmful just tastes like shat! the azamax can be used in flower but would only do this in a do or die case. But it supposed to be safe for use clear up until harvest although I've never tested that. But like Oldmeduser said once the eggs hatch you gotta hit them again this is where most people screw up.

I've been fine last 5 years growing in greenhouse and outdoor until I added 10 clones from a local person. Thankfully I put them way far away from the rest. Yep...spider mites.
Im now adding SNS 209 ( rosemary extract) to my water right from get go as prevention. Cannot find anyone who has written their experience with SNS 209 tho.
This year want to be ready with knowledge on beating the buggers if they should appear.

seems like thats how we all get em, bringing plants in from an outside source. The urge to add a new strain to the garden is so tempting you almost cant say no.lol

mounted the ballasts for the big tent and built a rack for the converter box. The box transforms 220v to 110v so i can use the 220v plug to run the lights.20190525_164010.jpg 20190525_161200.jpg

Glad to see you pull the trigger, I got here a little late, but I don't think you will like that 10 inch can fan for several reasons. 1 it will be loud as hell, and 2 its way overkill for that setup. a single 6 inch is more than enough in fact i turn mine all the way down.Would have rather seen you go with a cmh instead of hps I'm slowly getting switched over, But anyway you got a good start and wish you the best.
so i fired up the 10" vortex today and holy shit! that thing could suck the chrome off a bumper lmao by itself it is kinda loud but hooked up to the carbon filter and exhaust ducting its not too bad.im in a place where noise isnt much of an issue so it should be fine. I had to open up all the vents to keep it from sucking the tent in but i feel like its going to work well for me.
