Lets just end this right here.

LEDs DO work for growing, yeah they grow the plants.

EVERY single LED grow that I have seen have grown lanky plants with small, fluffy buds.

LEDs are just not advanced enough to grow weed to the point where the buds are good..

It was the same thing when people first started using CFLS about 4/5 years ago.
CFLS back then were so shit.

Now look at them, you can get a brilliant yield from them.

The same thing applies for LEDs, give it 2-5 years and THEN YOU GUYS CAN SAY LEDS REALLY ARE WORTH GETTING.

It angers me to think the LED guys go around telling newbies to buy an LED SYSTEM OVER A HPS SYSTEM!

Watt for watt a HPS performs a million times better than an LED. THAT IS FACT.

Stop with this silly charades...LEDs are not cut out to produce decent buds YET.


Buy a MH or HPS setup.

I'm using less than 25watts too.

I think people that constantly bash LEDs and insist everyone must use HIDs,
are either stupid or cops trying to trick people into growing with something they can detect.

That plant looks like it's been ravaged by hounds from hell..

I've spoke to many people about LEDs, the general consensus is that you'd need to spend a ridiculous amount of money to even come close to the growing potential of a HPS.

LEDs WILL be good for growing IN THE FUTURE, right now they are not.

Say you buy a budget 600 watt HPS light for £100.

Now you try and find a budget LED light for £100 that will grow decent buds like a 600 watt HPS light.

Or better yet, why not spend a stupid amount of money getting 600 watts of LEDs, which will grow fluffy buds...


I'm just saying LEDs are cool, but Not worth spending the money on until the technology improves..

There may only be shitty LED systems on the market now, but that has nothing to do with LEDs themselves... LEDs are very easy to DIY, so that bull about cost is, just that, bull... Specially if you look at it over time, factor in replacement HID blubs and over all power used/saved...

You ever wish you could look back and say you remember exactly when the future became the present? Its right now, this is it. LEDs have started to replace HIDs in a very shabby way ($900 for a UFO, wtf?), but that will change. HIDs are dinosaurs and in a world that is using more and more energy everyday, 600w and 1000w HIDs are going to be too expensive.

I always say, grow however you want, but I think people who bash LEDs are either really dumb or are trying to keep people using a method that is detectable. You have a 1000 watts of power turning on and off every 12 hours and wonder, how did they suss me out??? Derrr.... Do people who grow with HIDs also put big signs outside their grow rooms? You got a picture of your big neon "Arrid's Grow" outside that HID setup you got going???

LEDs are good for nothing more than key chains. Don't bother wasting your time on them like Loki did, or else you might end up with hurt pride telling people lies about how good they are. LOL. Loki, don't make other people suffer for your bad investment-- by the way those are some wild accusations for someone who's got so many posts. LOL.

I can't even be bothered to argue with you, it's not because you are right, it's because i'm sick and tired of people saying LEDs are AMAZING for growing.

Bullshit.

People don't want to make their own LED panels, they want plug and play.

When LEDs make as much bud as a HPS i'll advise people to use them.
Right now, they don't.

So i say no to LEDs and their fluffy buds.

If that makes me stupid then so be it.

LEDs will not replace HID lighting. LED simply do not have the power. 150,000 lumens!!

LEDs really are not worth it.

you will spend $1800 on the lights
you will end up with a crappy stretched, bud good for nothing plant.

ok, u will save on energy costs.... id rather pay the extra $30 or whatever it is a month for some dense, big compact buds.

sorry m8, nearly every1 on here will tell u HID lighting is better than LEDs
