LAbs and their results????

FWIW most of these companies are rolling with GC tests, and don't have nearly the accuracy that an HPLC does for instance. I know someone that runs an HPLC and they have literally only seen one or two strains in thousands that break the 20 % mark.
well... that's not totally true.. go look at their website results you'll see over 20 percent.. but that begs the question.. are they inflating the results... ? i had some of mine tested and it was over 20... i was convinced they inflated even...

the only two labs that have HPLC are ironlabs and Cannalytics.

and both of them are off and pretty regularly it seems? this is purely from others point of views that i have heard.. and of couirse.. GC is wrose...

but.. HPLC is the only kind that can do medibles and that sux for some.

Is there much potential sales volume for a lab? If so, you'll have serious players enter the market soon. I guess I'm assuming these current guys are not long term serious.

Huel's got me sold on Iron Labs, I will be dropping them off a Fat Purple chunk once it's finished. After checking them out and there methods I'm thinking there pretty much on point. They don't seem to have any agenda as they do testing for many different markets not just MJ.

Iron labs was on High Noon radio yesterday and they did a decent job of explaining their role and knowledge a bit

you should check it out.

we had a great chat with one of the guys there and DR Robert Melamede from Colorado! love that man

Not sure what they would test for. That would be interesting, though. I would imagine certain aspects of a strain's DNA could be looked for. Like maybe a sativa gene or such.

I ran across EmeraldTriangleBuds.com and they are talking about "genetic testing", although I don't quite get it

Any thoughts?
Well if you take the genetics of known strains Blue Dream, NYCD, Orange Bud, etc. and map and store all of the data then when you send them a sample they can verify if its really Blue Dream, NYCD, etc. They may also be able to tell you what the true parents of the cross were. What I imagine is a scenario where some soccer mom with cancer is buying from some middle man who called the bud "The Bomb Diggity" and sending in a sample to find out it was "Chemdawg". Or a dispensary who wants to verify what they are selling is actually what it is supposed to be.

There are many reasons to do a DNA map of cannabis strains. Search about chimera on icmag. He's a proper geneticist in BC starting a project.

There is no doubt that genome mapping is needed in cannabis, but I do not see how this private data base of simple matches is to accomplish that. I see this type of "DNA testing" as the kind you find on Maury Povich to determine a probability of a father from a know pool of donors. We learn very little about a mother and father here, other than a probable match.

probable match is likli what they are taling about. matching the profiles to say.. hey.. this is green crack.. cuz we tested green crack once.. and this is what it was..

that is the extent of their testing..

they buy standards that say.. this is beta caryophyllene.. and then they see the similar structure on their columns and then go.. hey..! that is beta-carophyllene.

Chimera's project is more of the the 'who's Ur daddy' kind of research. Growers from around the globe are sending him cuts to catolog. Someday we will actually know who's baby it is. 'Momma's baby Pappa's is a defunct statement now that we can DNA test children and dogs.
For some reason some breeders are opposed to his work. Hhhhhhmmmmm?????

Most the Maurys I watch, the kids stay as bastards cuz it's whore-ass mome cannot really remember exactly how many cocks were shoved in her.
All these cannabis hybrids and we are still bigger sluts than nature is.
In our lifetime I do not see us sorting out who is who in the world of cannabis or sluts.

I am just getting old enough to realize there are winners and losers in every family tree, be it cannabis or hookersx.
Enjoy the ride finding both, don't dwell on the losers and the whores, or your ass will end up on Maury.

Back to labs testin our gear? C&T ever grind your samples up? One bud ground up should test very similar, IMHO
Hmmm....I have given them full nugs so far. Maybe a grind will be the way to go this time-it'll make my picture look stupid on the microscopic exam/picture but who cares. Might be a way to avoid being called out on your moldy pot (if that's how you roll, I do not roll that way). I might have to add that to the matrix when I put it together. this is test protocol is going to cost some cheese!

Well it would be just to test the different labs. Not how I would want my work displayed for sure!!!!

" yeah here buy mine!! It looks just like the governments!!! So it must be the good shit!!!!! '
