lack of N or just budding?

that amount of yellow is pretty typical for flowering. some people add a high n fert, like 5-0-0 to slow the process but not sure that does anything for the plant except make it look better.

ive been using the general hydroponics lineup. grow/bloom and just last week added kool bloom. but i cut out the grow nutes all together. i was told not to use the grow during flower. whats your opinion on this?

have not used general hydroponics so can't be specific but in general you want to be careful adding grow nutes to flower nutes because you are adding a lot more than nitrogen to the mix, risking nute burn. that's why some people use a nitrogen only product in addition to flowering nute.

the thing is this is a clone i got from a previous grow and its only 2 or 3 weeks into flowering*. the mother i got her from was about 5-6 weeks into flowering before her leaves started dying off. thats why im a little confused. does the timing of that process matter upon genetics, circumstances, a combo of both, or what?

*the reason i say 2-3 weeks is because this plant is at my gfs house and she wasnt sure exactly the date it started to show pre flowers. so when i checked it out it looked maybe a week or so into flowering. that was the 14th.*

if thats the case then its a safe bet to assume you prolly have a slight n def... but it could also be ph or overwatering as well...

your not sappose to cut that out untill the 6th week dude. Do a ratio of 3-2-1
bloom,micro,grow.
Its a THREE PART.not a to part. The lucas formula is retarded as well.
You cutting out main nutes by not feeding them grow.
You cut grow and surprised your getting N def. read the bottle or do more research.
In a 55 gallon res in week one i add...
100mlgrow,1cupmicro,1cupbloom,100ml kushie kush,4oz diamond nectar,1 teaspoon hydroboost,1tablespoon rhino skin..
for week 2 i add....50ml grow,150micro,200ml bloom,100ml kushie kush, 4oz diamond nectar. 2teaspoons hydroboost,1tbsp rhinoskin.
week 7 its a little differnt.. 750ml bloom,6oz diamond nectar, 2tbsp kool bloom,2ozkarbo boost. 4 oz floranectar.
week 8 flush with 1 oz karboboost

yeah well im not a professional and ive grown with just the grow and bloom with great results. granted they probaly could be better but its personal smoke so im 100% satisfied. i will add more to my line up as new grows come up. so i appreciate the good lookin out. as for doing my research or reading the label, ive done my research and im going STRICTLY by the label minus the micro. however im not saying i know all there is to know, ive barely tapped the surface when it comes to experience.
all in all it sounds like it might be lack of N so im gonna increase my grow by 1/4tsp per gallon and see what happens. ill go from there. thanks man.

the more leaves you have, the better the bud will turn out...the buds themselves do not obtain light. it's the leaves that take in all the light energy..think of them as little solar panels..

every other or every three at least.

At the rate its going all the fan leaves will be gone before flowering is done, i would add some N to the mix or risk lowering your yeild.

I doubt it will do anything to help the yellow leaves but it should slow the process.

word! the nutes say 3/1 bloom and 3/1 veg. ive been 3/1 bloom and 1/1 veg. ill step it up to 2/1 veg, maybe even ratios. i dont care if they're yellow i just dont want to lose weight do to a simple fix.

sod what it says on the back on the pack, your plants will tell you what they need and right now they are saying they are hungry....

the one thing that is harder to read on your plants is the cause of a problem but the fact that the leaves are just yellowing with out any other problems suggests you just have low N levels.

thanks man, ive been mixed answers from everyone i ask about this. i think this post and a couple others got me sold on the fact that i need to step up on N levels. +rep
