Lack of stickyness

Im happy with the results of my diy cob lighting however one thing ive noticed is lack of stickyness of the buds. they have plenty oftrics just not sticky.
Is this due to lack of heat or something else? please discuss its a good strain, northern light blue. plenty of potency. just not sticky when you grab the buds.

yes showed a little bleaching early on and then some minor nute burn later on. my nutes have been stronger than usualand a different band - GH not Canna.

vigor is kinda everything when it comes to kicking out the resin, and cobs can def do it. i dont use GH anymore because i dont like to support monsanto but the lucas formula works pretty well

per gal
8ml micro
16ml bloom
1/4 tsp epsom salts

I've had some before like that, the one i had was covered in trichs but would not stick, in fact my fingers were slippery like opposite of sticky. The guy i got the seed from said he had also had that oily pheno show up. So may just be the plant?

Ive had some strains that are not as sticky as others. Just because its not as sticky does not mean its not potent or of high quality.

I am just finishing up (back to the room in a minute) Ghost Train Haze and Holy Grail Kush and they are completely different. GTH is MUCH stickier than the HGK, like extreme amounts but trich production was excellent on both.

If you produced a quality plant with good potency and you feel the plant is within 10% of what the "best quality" of your strain would be, whats there to worry about? There are some strains out there that have very little smell but pack a punch. It does not mean it was grown poorly, it can always be strain dependent on the characteristics.

Do you have pics? If the resin production is there, who cares if its sticky?

A little light burn early on and a nute issue throughout the grow will not hurt the plant all that much. Ive done much worse in the past and still had good high quality yields.

I've got a lemon skunk what's nice in resin production but is oily rather than sticky on the fingers compared to exo or gg wich is very sticky

I know it's down to strain because I've Ran the lemons for a few years and it's always the same so I would say genetics for sure if the trichrome % looks normal for the strain

Thanks for the replies people i wont worry about the stickyness. Im happy with the strain, some i chopped a few days ago is potent but very nice smoke even though it was taken at day 40.

Way too early for flush IMO, but I dont do a true "flush" (I run soil too) and I dont do it 2 weeks out like peopel suggest.

Looks good though.
