Ladybugs

Gah.

When will the ladybugs be for sale again at places like whole foods? Anybody know? October maybe? I wasn't able to get a straight answer from the guy I asked at the store.

I'm gonna freeze them bastards next time I get some so I have them on hand during the summer.

Homegrown hydro carries them year round.

Thanks guys, you rock! I know I can get them shipped.. but.. my mailbox is 1/8" plate steel, and black.

rckjames, yeah, ladybugs are one of the few living creatures that can survive through a freeze. (I've seen footage of them thawing from a chunk of ice and flying off) That and some frog are the only 2 I can think of at the moment.

Maybe i am part lady bug.......

Well, they were in a fridge when I got them this time and they went to work just fine. Last time I got some they were not in a fridge and when I opened the can it was like a roman orgy.

Hydroponics Depot has ladybugs and mantas for less than $10 a pack.

I don't think I'd worry about the "Roman orgy"...The Ladybug larvae are just as voracious, if not more, than the adults.

I got mine from homegrown hydro for less than 10 after tax. Nice store but everything is a bit more than where I usually go as far as nute prices.

I also finally found somebody that's run a plasma lamp, which is something I've been really interested in despite the upfront cost. He says they really do run way cooler, and the plants under it in the store loved it (although they no longer had a display running).
