Larva?

Hello all I found these little wiggly guys in my dirt for the first time and was wondering if anyone knows what they are or if they are beneficial or harmful to my plants?

Fungus gnat larvae? They look a bit larger than the ones I've seen but that would be my first guess.
You could always add some beneficial nematodes or Bti.

No, they look more like white worms to me. Fungus gnat larvae have a dark head and they also aren't that long.
They're not harmful to your plants.
However it could be that uncomposted materials are in your soil.
I've only ever seen white worms in my wormbin, they turn up when there are large amounts of food about and then disappear again.

That would make sense I just top dressed 4 days before they showed up. Thank you calliandra
