Late outdoor grow

Hi guys!

Quick question here;

I have 2 Dutch passion Shaman plants I'm growing outdoors (I live in the Netherlands). I started growing them a little late, around July. So they are now about 7 weeks old.

I have little experience growing outdoors, and wonder when they will start flowering. I know most people who grow outdoors are already harvesting or about to do so. So should I induce them to flower or just wait until they start to flower?

Thanks!

I doubt they will finish in time before the first frost. I live in a scandinavian country not far away from you so my climate is similar to yours.
Can you brimg them inside to finish flowering?

I agree with fender. If you can. Bring them in before the frost comes.

As for inducing flower. They need 12 solid hours of uninterrupted darkness. That could be as simple as putting a box over them. Or putting them in a dedicated space that goes from light to dark as needed.

Yes I could bring them inside, but i would like to avoid that as much as possible. I remember when I got the seeds the guy from the shop told me that this strain could withstand cold weather, if the plant is already mature. But I'm still hoping they start flowering soon because of that.
Is it advisable to induce them to flower?

Thanks! I think I might try that

Heh. I'm in South Aus. I'm hoping the dry weather starts to kick in soon. I'm the first month into flower. With at least another 1.5mo to go.

They will start to flower as soon as the nights get long enough. That varies by strain, and I have no experience with that strain. I have grown through the winter here in NW Florida, and mature plants will handle a light frost or two. I would keep them outdoors as long as you can. Bring them in if there is a heavy frost on the way. By then you will know how much longer they have.

Thanks a lot for the replies! I just checked and the supplier (Dutch Passion) says this strain is only ment for outdoor growing and is one of the best against mold and cold weather. Plus the winters have not been too harsh in the Netherlands for the past few years, hopefully the coming one too. So I will try to induce the flowering like nugachino said, in 2 weeks or so, and hope the claims about the strain are true :)

As for fertilizers, i want to get something for the flowering period. So far I've used my rabbits poo for the vegetative period , i read somewhere in this forum that it was good.:-P

I have a lot to choose from, I'm thinking of getting the CANNA boost accelerator. But do u guys know one which u would really recommend?
