Lazy Man's 600w Venting

Would you be able to efficiently keep temperatures down in a 4x4x7 tent with a 600w light in a hood/cooltube? The venting for the light would be completely seperate from the venting for the plants. EXCEPT... instead of dumping the light exhaust outside, it would be back into the same room. (If this wouldnt work, would a 8" fan for the 600w light work out?)

Didnt really understand if you are gonna dump in the tent or outside the tent in just in the same room. In the tent wont work. In the room would work but you would definitely have to have a good enough fresh air intake to cool it back down. Dumping in the same room without good circulation will cause bad ambient heat temps.

As long as the 600w's heat is being removed from the tent, and the space outside can maintain a suitable temperature, I dont see any problem

As others have said, you're going to need some way to control the ambient temperatures in the room the tent is in. I vent a 400w into the same room as my cabinet and it gradually heats up the ambient room temperature. You are going to have to do one of a few things, draw in cooler air from another room of your house (and at that rate, it'd make more sense to just exhaust it into another room instead) or run an a/c in the room during lights on to control the ambient temps. My 400w pushes 7-10degrees higher ambient temps. So on an 80 degree day that becomes problematic. I'd imagine a 600w would be more like an 11-15 degree increase.

Thanks for the replies everyone, it makes perfect sense. Yes, i refered to venting in the room that the tent would be in. I have a situation where I cant vent directly outside, all the ducting will only be in the tent... looks like ill just go drip/grodan with a 430w agro!

Edit: Does anyone know of Philips MasterColor Ceramic Metal Halide
HPS-Retro White Lamps
vs a 430w agro son?

I vent my 600 out of my 4x4x7 right into the basement where my tent is but i also open my window to let fresh air in during lights on. if i keep basement temp at 68 stays real cool inside of the tent low 70s. but with summer commin i dunnu what im gonna do yet maybe just jack up the airconditioner and close the window
