Hi, I have this leaf condition that has spread through out my operation. The plant as a whole seems healthy but the large fan leaves are very brittle brown edges and hook. IMAG0342.jpg

  • This particular plant has been flowering since 12/14/2011 6 inches away from the hood.

Sunshine Number 4 and I am running the advance nutrients line up. Under 1000w lights.

We need a BIT more info. What medium are you in, what nutes are you feeding, lights, distance of lights from the plant tops.

Are you in soil and are you flowering them?

nute burn for sure. just flush really well and allow the medium to dry out before feeding again. lower your ppm quite a bit when you feed after flushing.

This problem has really been persistent. I've flushed the plants and doesn't seem to heal them up. Also any of the plants that get infected I have not seen come back no matter what I do with them. I've got another picture of a healthy plant that turned completely sick in three days. It's the new growth that you can see the worst of the decease but it causes the entire plant's leaves to shrivel up and hook. And become very brittle.

Also another symptom take place on the bark of the shoots they become very pale in color and form these white bumps.

Does anybody know what nutrient lock up with a combination of nutrient deficiency looks like? Because I have flushed these plants with RO water got their PPm down to 1200-1500. I've also added cal mag every time to my watering, still didn't reverse the problem. So then I used Bushdoctor which is suppose to clean the plant out, no difference yet. Other then just switching back to hard water I don't see what I can do when a problem keeps multiplying and having no idea what the problem is. I have also yet to see a plant picture that looks any similar to mine. So my thinking is since no one on the internet has posted pictures of a decease that looks like mine then maybe its specialized to the environment of the plants, possibly some kind of virus decease or pathogen made it's way into certain plants.

Hey truckn

I'm not a pro or nething but from the pics you showed and what you have said about your lights I think you should back the lights off
You said it's 1k lights and 6 inches away that's realy close for 1k lights
I forget where I was reading it but the outher day I was reading about symptoms and illnesses of cannabis and it looks like you have light burn

Again I'm nota pro and this is just my opinion

But that's only the case in the flowering rooms. I also have 400w veg lights along with T-5s. And the distance from the hood all differs between them.

Hey i've been reading and it could be a phosphor deficiency

But go to this link and look for your symptoms
http://www.growery.org/2991/Diagnosis
It should help you figure it out better than us because you are there and know exactly what's going on
Thanks that site has useful info, Maybe some of the plants have a bad pH, which is causing the phosphorous lock. Thus causing my multiple problems with these plants.

Also if you figure it out take it one step at a time don't go guns blazing and try to tackle it all at once slow and steady wins thecrop

Have a couple plants that have similar looking problems, one is dead one is suspect, one is not too bad now and the best one is way smaller but had the same problem just a lot earlier. Flushing only helped a couple of mine and killed the one, Im also with you on what to do next because I've tried minor adjustments and cal/mag feeding was the first and ultimately it did more harm than good. Although I'm not a pro at doing this something in my head thought maybe the cal mag allowed built up nutrients to finally make their way out of the soil and into the plant causing major burn. Gonna make sure I keep an eye on your progress...good luck and I hope they pull out for ya! CB

You say you got your ppms down to 1200-1500. Where were they before that? Even 1200-1500ppm is pretty high for soil. I rarely go over 700. I have a feeling and by the second set of pics those plants are pretty nuked....
