leaf cuttings in wax paper

I'm flying home to my parents in a few days and thought it would be cool to buy some wax paper to melt some pot leaves between sheets for a couple gag gifts. I've got a plant that has a few leaves the size of my hand that I'd like to use. It's about 3 ft tall, but real gangly and a little stretched. It's also in bloom right now (put in on the 12th). And, I base this off of no experience or any visual evidence, but my gut just tells me its a male. Anyways, the plant has 8 good sized nodes on the main staulk, with only 3 leaves that I consider big enough to be cool.

First off, has anyone ever tried ironing weed leaves between wax paper?

Second, how much trauma am I going to cause this plant?
