As some of you guys know I am the guy doing the 60 plant grow setup thread. All is great so far, Thet are 1 week into veg. 2 of my plants have yellow edges all around the entire leaf (green in the middle) on the edges are yellow. All the other 48 look great. It for sure isnt a light burn. I am using Fox famrs soil with 2" lava rock on the bottom. I just started added food 2 days ago (Big bloom and Grow Big). I also noticed that my tap water PH was at 8.3 without any nutes and with the big bloom and grow big nutes added it was at 7.0 Today I put a tad bit of PH down in to bring it to 6.4 Do you think the PH could be the problem????? Remember it is only a few plants out of 60. These plants are also very strong so I dont want to loose them. Thanks

haha dam your tap water ph is 8.3 you guys have some bad water in sanoma. your tap water must have chemicals in it to make it 8.3 cause thats crazy. maybe they treat your water with alot of chlorine. do you distill your water before watering. And as long as you watered them with the 6.4 ph water and not the 8.3 it couldnt be a ph burn. only other thing i can think of is either you added a lil to much nutrients to your solution or those particular plants didnt get enough water for a day or so and they got a lil dried out. NO biggy. I wouldnt worry about it they should be back up to health in a few days.
:peace: and goodluck with the crop, farmer! :joint:

Trenton,
Since money isn't a problem for you, buy a reverse osmosis (RO) filter system and you'll have clean distilled water to work with.

My babies started yellowing (possibly Mg deficiency due to high pH causing lockout) so I tried some distilled water and now they're flourishing again. I've now ordered an RO system (produces 25 litres per day) so I'll never have to worry about water again :)

Can you tell us some more about this reverse osmosis system please as it sounds well interesting.
Even though i live in a soft water area i would still love to be able to drink and feed my plants with the best water available to me.
Is it possible to build a diy reverse osmosis systems?

ya not bad for the whole set up. what you can also do if you want ro water is to go down to whole foods, winco, or i think costco has a ro machine. all you have to do is take your jugs down there and pay i think 80 cents a gallon. i know its really cheap cause they just use tap water through their machine. thats another option..

I came across an American site whilst i was searching as well, they had units for a 100 dollars that they stated cost 7 cents per gallon to run.
If you want me to search again and link back to the site i will:blsmoke:

Edit sorry it was 200 dollars which is about 100 quid in my currency and 7 cents per gallon and it wasnt actually a selling site it was a parent care site heres the link
