Leaf issues help!!

20180615_235825.jpg 20180615_235821.jpg 20180615_235816.jpg So I'm about 3 or 4 weeks into flower and a lot of my leaves all of a sudden started to look really weird, my temp does not go above 75 and humidity not above 55 water and feed every other day or when soil feels dry, I did feed some nitrogen to the flank in flower for the first week or two (not large amounts it was in the Cal Mag I used) could that be it, maybe to much air flow on the leaves? Everything seems to be growing and everything really well bud sights are forming great just have this one weird issue maybe someone can lead me in the right direction to help her out?

Fox farm ocean forest, advanced nutrients, big bud and bud candy, ph is at 6.5-6.8 dont know the others you mentioned, everything is fine with all that just dont understand this issue it's not effecting growth it dont seem like and no leaves are yellowing or dying just folding weird, have it under led and a CFL, and small uvb one 4"x4" Intake fan with 2 exhaust fans one on top one on side of grow chamber

Cool thanks.

Id stop nutrient, and i'd stop feeding any sugar products. Now.

When was their last drink?
Explain your watering routine?
Pot volume?
Volume of water per watering?
How often feeding nutrients?
How long is it taking to dry?
How much waste comes through the bottom, after a watering?

Was that ph your water?
Or your soil?

Do you have a pk booster?
If you do. Can you please state the npk?

Thanks for the info.

Last watered 2 days ago, 2 liters of water no nutes, in a 5 gallon pot, been feeling dry after about 2 days maybe 1 1/2 days, water till I see runoff on the bottom and it usually fills the pan under the pot about half way, maybe. And I'm only using big bud, shows potassium but dont think phosphorus. I was gonna swtich to fox farm big bloom, I did use Cal Mag for a few feedings as I didn't notice it was 4% nitrogen and I feel I gave it to much nitrogen for flowering, the last 2 or 3 waterings have just been 1 liter feed and 1 liter straight water total of 2 littles for the 5 gallon bucket

Thankyou man.

You are underwatering, and over watering. At the same time.
A 5gallon pot of soil really shouldnt have to be watered more than once, to twice a week. Always aim for good run off. Atleast 10% of the pot volume. More like 15.
You get salt buildup in the pot. Because wet soil is composting, and leaching its salt content.
You ae also adding salty bottled nutrients. Plus sugar.
You need to dry it right out from here.
Wait until its dry.
Then give it, a great big drink of plain water. Probably a whole 5 gallons or so.
Then dry it right out again.

Now.
You look low on pk to me. Rams horns etc, and considering plants stage.

Do you have a nutrient high in pk only?
Like pk 13/14?

Please state the npk% of your big bloom. Im not going to look it up.
We need to know the npk.
So we help you with a means of attack.

Thanks OP.

Tim.

"You get salt buildup in the pot. Because wet soil is composting, and leaching its salt content."

Tim, I do wish you would stop posting in this forum. You make no sense. How does salt build up take place if the soil is composting and leaching it's salt content? What proof do you have, or are you just talking nonsense for the pleasure of doing so? What proof do you have that the soil is composting? Wouldn't the leaching be replaced when the OP adds nutrients?

FFOF doesn't need nutrients, or at least for several weeks (and maybe for an entire grow). Adding extra nutrients is the reason why this plant doesn't look good. The soil probably has too low of a pH due to all the nutrients. That's all there is to it. Under water and over water at the same time? Only Tim1987 would say something so ridiculous.

You don't know WTF soil is.

Would you like some more scholarly articles?

Text books perhaps?

I've told you before.
You're a TROLL.

An unhelpful one at best.

Compost isn't soil. It's other materials that break down and are used by plants because somebody added it to the soil. Potting soil doesn't have compost in it unless someone puts it there.

    "blueberries need very acid soil"

    • the territory of a particular nation.
"the stationing of US troops on Japanese soil"
synonyms: territory, land, space, terra firma;More

Have you ever composted before?
What the hell do you think the ground is outside?

Stop being ignorant.

Took me 5 minutes to search google and post the information.

I suggest next time your frustrated because you may be wrong, that you politely ask an intelligent question.

Instead of ranting, and looking like a troll.

Would you like some more reading material?

Your thinking, I suppose, that compost and soil are the same. They aren't. But yes, compost can be found in soil. My point was that since the OP is using potting soil, there's no compost in it. Your statement was that the potting soil is composting and leaching nutrients. This idea is nonsense. Another silly statement from you was the overwatering and underwatering at the same time remark. But obviously I can't get through to you. It would be better for others if you quit using this forum. You're misleading people with bad info. Just because I'm trying to correct you, doesn't make me a troll.
Remember the grower is using a potting soil. This isn't the same as compost or soil outdoors. It's forest products that have had nutrients added so the potting soil becomes a water-and-forget-it kind of grow medium. That's what Foxfarm is selling people. If you give extra fert while using this soil, chances are you're asking for trouble. That's why I've responded to this thread.

Is potting soil made from plastic?
This is news to me.....

Where does the parent material come from?

Its a very simple concept man.

Sometimes i wonder if ignorance is a choice.
Sometimes we can give all the information in the world, and people still don't listen.

Its organic.
Mother Earth created it.

We're not talking about polystyrene balls here.
Lets be real.

ALL organic material breaks down / decomposes.
Its water that helps it along.
Its a process.
Its composting.

SOIL is SOIL.
It isnt complicated.

You ARE overwatering if you are doing it EVERY OTHER DAY.
You are also adding more nutes / supplements than you need.

FFOF is highly amended RIGHT OUT OF THE BAG. It will carry a plant well for 6 weeks all by itself. So basically you are charging an already charged medium. FFOF is prebuffered at 6.3 ( from the oyster shell element ) .

You didn't say what other AN nutes you are adding but I am sure it's only compounding things. You should be on a BLOOM type feed by now ( lower N - higher PK ).

Leaves will show those particular issues from overwatering and over fertilizing.
If you are using water stripped of CALMAG then you can use it to replace it - RO WATER and such. But if you are running say municipal water ( TAP ) then it's " when " needed.

Keep shit simple ....

Water " when " needed ... Not on schedule .. Plant will use what it uses , if you keep drenching medium , you risk suffocating roots , causing uptake issues , etc.

Make sure container drains properly ....

PH water BEFORE @6.5 ( ph pen ) when doing plain watering AND AFTER you mix up a feed. The " inbetween " watering will help leach out / break up any salt buildup, so " flushing " is unnecessary....

You do show some clawing , so by sticking to a " water diet only " for say a week will allow plant to naturally burn thru the excess before having to be fed again. You cannot expect to throw everything and the kitchen sink at a plant and expect it to NOT have some problems. Ensuring you have good airflow will aid in balancing how quickly it will have dry periods. Excessive moisture will bite you in the ass ( bud rot , root rot , powdery mildew and bugs. )

You have a chance to reverse course.

Are you sure it's not wind burn . I hear you stated the plant is still growing fine and nitrogen clawing stunts growth . But if there's not excessive amount of air blowing directly on them then maybe it is nitrogen smh but you haven't gave them nitrogen in weeks right? But main question is did you do a flush at the beginning of flower? Please don't feed them big bloom

Imo that would be Nitrogen toxicity. Dark green, clawing
Yep.
I believe so too.
Imo it's low PK that's causing it.
Antagonism. Almost certain.

But I really think a few plain waterings are the first things it needs.

Personally I wouldn't feed any nutrients for a week or two, and plain water only.
A few big drinks.

Tim, you never did explain how composting leaches nutrients from soil. Why don't you explain it?
Isn't it true that the purpose of composting is to create nutrient availability? Isn't that why growers add compost? If people add compost to provide nutrients, how does it leach nutrients from soil?
