leaf tips touching soil?

I run both autos and photos in the same tent. I usually stagger my autos out so there's one in veg, some in flower. The light schedule is determined by the photo strain that's currently going. Course I'm only doing between 4 to 6 plants top at any given time. Purists might hate that idea, but eh it's my grow, you don't have to do it my way.
I've also thought about doing autos & photos at the same time. I've also considered doing 1 tent autos & 1 tent photos. I'm still undecided.

I just looked it up.
Another thing alot of companies do is advertise a certain wattage, then you look at the specs and it is different. Your LED is 165w, from the wall. This means it is actually 165w LED. Idk how these false ads get away with it.
15w dif ain't bad though. I paid $229 for my first "150w" LED. Actual wattage, 100w.
I have found the ones being truthful of their actual output are usually better lights. Nothing to hide!

That being said, I think you could have done better with 1 really good light for that $. Oh well. Live n learn, I did.
I hear you. The Internet is flooded with so much false advertising. It's hard to shuffle through the BS. Especially if you are new to growing. Funny part is it took me 6 months to decide on lighting & I still wasn't sure what to purchase.

Haha. LED is a huge racket. I think that's why there are so many die hard HID growers. Too many false claims.

Anyway, happy growing nacho!!!

I thought about a dual tent thing, but just don't have the room. Right now I'm running 3 different strains. 2 Autos (2 each of Green Labels Auto Mary and Kannabia Speedy Gonzales) and 1 Photo (Paradise Seeds Durga Mata) The only one not currently in flower development is the 2nd Mary, started her 3 weeks after the rest.
The first Mary is probably going to be ready to cut at the end of the month. Speedy and Durga will probably ready a few weeks or end of April. After I pull the first Mary I'm going to put in another plant to continue my cycle. I'll keep anyone interested in how the photo/auto tent works out as it goes along.

Are the seeds from kannabia & paradise good seeds? The seeds I have from humboldt & ministry of cannabis are the healthiest looking ones. Mephisto was okay. The rest looked bad & I even received some that were still whitish/yellow and really tiny.

All the seeds I germinated, sprouted. The only one that lagged a little was one Speedy, but even she popped up a few days later.

With LED you want temps @ 80°-85°. If 12" gives you 82° and you aren't seeing I'll affect I would say 12" is the $ spot.
Wrong here , you don't want temps that high unless running CO2, the biggest selling point about LEDs is the little amount of heat they put out, your canopy should be around 75F.

But is that 75°F the best temp for autoflowers? Or photos? Also, I believe he was stating the avg temps people get running led's. I'm 100% positive I can bring my temp down to 75-77F, but is that few degrees worth me spending more cash on equipment to lower the temp?

He's talking about the temp your grow room should be. I run two cfls and a mh. I have to keep the top vent open and a bottom one to keep the hot air rising up and out. If it gets too hot the leaves will wilt and get a little crispy. (yea I know I can use a fan but free ventilation vs paying for extra power is my thing)

You want colder temps, the hotter the fluffier the buds grow. My LED room doesn't go above 70F. Plan to harvest about a pound off her next week :)

I've opened my top vent a few times & it does lower the temp(78°). If my fans are off, then it stays about the same(81°).

You need an exhaust and intake system then. 81F is too hot for an LED grow in my opinion, you should be shooting for ambient temp, or less than 5F from ambient.

I agree to disagree. I have tested, after much research, and find 80°-85° at canopy for LED to be optimal.

For fluffy buds it is, unless you run CO2 there is no reason to raise temps above 75F and you joined this forum a month ago where are your plants? I think you might be a newb that don't know shit about weed. I have an LED room AND a HPS room, been growing weed over 5 years, I live in a legal state, you don't have a single picture of weed on this website I looked through your profile all you do is post on other peoples post and you post shit you don't know about.

Quick Google search will confirm LED temps.
Definately not trying to argue. I am sure you have alot more experience.
In my limited experience, I stand by my statement.
Before I come to any conclusions I do a shit ton of research. Most recommendations are temps I stated.

Your plants look killer btw.
