I think there getting to much food using the Fox Farms grow big. I think i read somewhere that nutes shouldn't be used until around a month in so I'm pretty sure i jumped the gun. My plan is to go back to just water. Just wondering if someone could verify or if they had a better solution to fix the problem or if i even have the right problem.

Tho I'm not a soil man, I get the feeling you're over watering them, and yes your plants are too young for ferts, the soil shoul be sufficient for a week or more.

my vote goes to overwatered. but if it isn't that I think that the leaves are just bigger than their skin per se and may just need to get a little bigger to have room for its ridges

Really guys? that soil looks pretty fluffy and dry to be overwatered. How long have they been is that size of pot? They look lost in those big pots. I see a stressed little girl not from overwater but from ferts. being used too early in too big of pot. There will be little to no root migration yet, I personally would transplant them into a 8-10oz. beer cup and just plain water until you have nice size leaves. Good Luck hope you get the handle on it.

Whats the advantage of starting in small containers? I've always used the pot that they will stay in, so I don't have to transplant. I'm pretty new at this so any new info is appreciated.

if you are watering them every morning then it is too much. u want it to dry around the roots sometime not be wet all the time or you will get root rot. i see alot of ppl watering in small amounts and more often thinking putting to much water in the pot is over watering, but really over watering is not letting the soil dry out a bit. you can do a mini flush everytime you water basicly i water til i see a decent amount of run off. most of them look like their leaves are heavy from over watering. let them dry all out then weigh the pot dry on bathroom scale or something, water them and weigh it again. give you a idea of weigh dry and wet.

the only advantage to starting in a small pot is to reduce the risk of over watering in big pot.
advantage of big pot is roots do not do circles in the pot they can stretch straight out and gain a larger root base faster, less chance for stress or possible root ball breaking during transplant.

Welcome.....

Base your watering and fertilizing drills solely on the plant's requirements. When it is young like now, it will require very little water as there is very little root mass and foliage to wick off soil moisture. Likewise, the plant isn't packing on much wood, cellulose, so it needs little salts (plant food). Needs some which may be coming from a nutrient charge in the soil mix. When you water, water well....flood the pot. You don't want to create any dry spots or channels in the soil mix which will actually repel water molecules if allowed to completely dry out. If I had to guess about every 3 days watering should do it. That's based on typical indoor growing conditions.

Don't push your plants. Learn to read them, they'll tell what they need if you understand the signs. How much and at what frequency did you fertilize with the Grow Big? Only telling us you used it doesn't provide any useful info.

Good luck,
UB
