Leage of Legends. Reflections on origion of title

Many years ago there was a "leage" or more like a boys club with privileges that sought out the stongest and most beautiful guys. The purpose of this was to put them in the arena and battle. The winners would be the so called legends, unfortunately they did not exactly receive a reward but rather theyd become the playmate of the club members.

I find it rather disturbing to have the most popular game named after this event.

It's just a DotA rip off anyway. Black friday is another example of a something awful being turn into something massively popular.

You reminded me of a few other things. April fools day for example, in Spain the rulers told the muslims that they would quit fighting and told them to come into the city unarmed. They did so to be slaughtered. this is where it comes from. It makes kind of sence as well, since how can a day that encourages people to lie come from somthing good?

Another example is from Friday the 13th the supposed unlucky day. friday the 13th oct 1307 king Phillip of france put our the order to have all templars seized, arrested and have their belongings confiscadet. they where accused of homosexuality blasphemy and idolatry (magic) those who where found guilty would be executed.

in 1991 9/11 george bush senior hold a speech at the solar maximum talking about the new world order (new worldly order). the next solar maximum was 2001 9/11. after that bush asked for a ridiculous amount of money for military spending.
