Get a soil PH test kit that includes hydrated lime test your soil and go by the directions when using the hydrated lime your PH is to low and your soil is locked it can't take in water or nutrient. My plants looked just like that and as soon as I applied the lime I could see the plants come back to life.

where do you all come up with this i have grown 20+ years and have NEVER checked my PH. *most generic answer ever*

looks over watered to me, ..... IMG_0790.JPG

funny how people get all high and mighty around here.

I'd say since no one knows your soil makeup, you could have several problems or just 1.
Overwatering, PH is off, Calcium deficiency, Magnesium deficiency ....

you'd know overwatering when you see it. the plant will begin to droop and if not corrected, it will start to die. sort of like fdd2blk's photo. PH/Cal/Mag issues can result in the plant looking healthy up top, but lower leaves looking ill and drying up (Cal/Mag deficiency). Your plant is in need of some type of nutrient outside of your current NPK. Micro nutrients are also needed. So i wouldn't discount Nematodes possible diagnosis/solution since we know nothing about your soil/grow medium.

You need to supply more than just a few shots of a plant.

i'm not high and mighty, just high. bongsmilie

now why can you answer and i can't? :-|

a plant that small in a pot that big shouldn't even really need nutrients yet. and he already is feeding them. you got him trippin' on micro nutes and nematodes now.

me, high and mighty. bongsmiliebongsmilie

and give it some nitrogen. heavy nitrogen.

I would listen to the guy with over 41,000 posts, you might be over watering a little. Is your soil compacting? Did you add perlite to the soil? Drainage and free root growth are SO important in soil. I too never ph my soil, I use filtered water and good soil like FoxFarm holds a good ph level.

It could be a mineral deficiency, give her about a teaspoon of Epsom salt diluted in water every other week or so that helps with magnesium and the plants seem to like it.

Good luck with your grow:bigjoint:

fdd2blk, Nematodes is one of the people who commented in this post. as for "Beneficial Nematodes", they would only help if fungus gnats or other pests are present in the soil.

the pot's do look large (I agree) but you can't tell how tall they are, it looks like they barely have any soil, so not knowing what the soil makeup is (MG, FoxFarm, etc...), PH, watering cycle (and if the dirt is dry or wet before watering), what type of water being used, etc... everyone's answers could be right.

It's like walking into the doctor and saying "I'm sick" and not disclosing anything else or allowing an examination, so your doctor would only speculate and would need more information before he/she can properly diagnose the illness. As stated before anyone would need more information.

I had plant's that size and they out grew a 1.5 pint pot after 1.5 weeks of veg.

over watering? possibility if there is not enough or to much soil/soilless mix in the pots, is there perlite, the soil/soiless mix doesn't drain well, and/or watering when it is still wet.

Nute Burn? possibility due to the makeup of the soil/soilless mix. feeding to early can cause this too.

Nute Lock? possibility.

Cal/Mag deficiency? possibility due to the makeup of the soil/soilless mix, water used for watering (tap water can cause this), etc...

PH problem? could be, what is the PH of your water? are you using tap? bottled/filtered? RO?

Other problems? yes, but speculation is all you'll get with what little info is supplied. you'd get the same random solutions from any well known garden center (let's say you grew tomatoes). In order to help you out they would ask a list of questions to aid in diagnosing your problem and guide you in the right direction.

obviously MOST LIKELY 1 of 2 things. a watering issue(and if you have proper drainage you would have to give it one hell of alot of water to over water) don't let soil get TOO dry before watering as well. i don't let my soil even get completrely dry like many do. or it could be a deficiency. ph being off is probably most common.
