Leaves yellowing and getting burnt at tips

I have been searching through and through for similar problems and NOTHING.

I am growing in coco and have been feeding with 1/3 dose cutting edge solutions, a bit of calmag and some flower inducer for the first 2 weeks.

At first i had a PH issue i was watering at 6.5 until i realized coco needs to be about 5.8.

I quickly flushed and then did a light feeeding with the right PH water. The runout from the pots was at a good 5.8 to 6.2 and has been every watering since.

For the life of me i cant tell why my leaves are yellowing so much, alot of the older fan leaves are yellow/white and have super purple/red/black stems. alot of them are falling off. The new growth seems to be ok but has simialr problems as the older fan leaves.

It has been a week since i flushed which seemed to help ALOT. I water with nutes every time i water (since coco doesnt have amny nutes). Im thinking its a nutrient deficiency but am totaly baffled otherwise as to what it could be? It doesnt affect jsut one central layer or part of the plants, it seems to be random.

Any help would be much appreciated!

they r not burnt the plant sucked the life out of those fan leaves bcuzz it s hungry for nitrogen . garden club select omri listed pellets is pretty good from lowes in a blue container florikin made 10-2-8 will need something differant for flowering

Sweet thanks man, so can i just step up my nutes to 1/2 strength or more? I have a 3 part cutting edge solutions fert system. The micro is 6-0-0 bloom is 0-6-5 and the grow is 2-1-6. Sound ok?

alright... i have a few questions....

first how often do you water?? how well is your drainage?? and can you pull the plant out of the pot to take a look at the root system??

coco coir has a natural ph of 5.7 to 6.5... it varries slightly... but that is all more than acceptable ranges of ph... nothing gets locked out in that range... i use coco and have my ph right now at 6.2 to 6.4 and its fine.. no issues at all... so i dont think its caused by ph issues...

what is the ppm/ec of the run off solution?? i know you said the ph of it.. but what are the actual ppms??

also can you break down the npk of the nutes you are using??

i know these are a lot of extra questions.. but there may be another issue (other than the def) that is causing things to happen.. want to make sure to have all the answers before i tell you to correct something that may not be the problem to begin with..

I unfortunately do not have a PPM meter yet. pots have great drainage, its a coco perlite mix, id say about 70% coco and 30% perlite. I water as soon as the pots start to get light, or i dont feel much moisture about 2 inches down. Dunno if i wanna risk taking one of the plants out to check the roots but i dont beleive its a root problem due to good airation and good drainage. The link below is the chart that cutting edge solutions has made showing how much of what to feed my babies in different stages. I am doing 1/3rd strength thinking it would be too much... im now im thinking im not putting enough food into the water. How can you control PPM of water? i use filtered water from the store, adding the recommended amount of nutrients shouldnt make the PPM too high would it? and if so, how do you lower PPM and still keep the recommended amount of nutrients in the water?

NPK breakdown: micro 6-0-0, bloom 0-6-5, grow 2-1-6

I noticed today that some of the leafs that are new growth (about the size of a quarter) have turned compeltely brown and have shriveled up to where they just fall off when i touch them...

if you dont want to check your roots thats fine.. it was just curious to see if they were white and if they are growing in well.. if you have root issues no amount of anything else will fix it..

without a ppm meter you are not going to have any idea of how much you are actually feeding your plant... using RO from the store is good in that you at least know that has nothing in it.. but not having any idea of the actual strength you are feeding is not a good thing.. you may need to increase the nutes.. but not having any idea of where they are at feeding wise now is going to make increasing the ppms hard..

i would say increase all around feeding to 1/2 or 3/4s strength.. but thats just a rough guess. they may be able to take more.. or need less.. i guess the best advice i can give is just increase over all feeding strength and see if that helps... but without the proper tools its hard for me to suggest anything...

A good rule of thumb to follow using 3 part nutes is this. During veg your mix is 3 parts grow/ 2 parts micro/ 1 part bloom. Then for flower your mix is 1 part grow/ 2 parts micro/ 3 parts bloom. This is a good and basic place to start. You will learn to adjust your mix as you gain experience.:weed:

So i watered with 3/4 strength instead of the 1/3rd strength and over the last 2 days or so, they are starting to get there green color back. I have also noticed a difference in the quality and size of the flowers. Here are a few pics.

Ill take a few more later tonight of the other plants in full shot, seems my camera takes pictures in the dark with a flash the best.

Thank you to all who gave me help! I guess since coco doesnt have much nutrients (if any) i wasnt feeding them enough adn as a result the leaves were becoming nitrogen deficient which slowed the flower growth.

i am having the same issue with cutting edge...i think the problem might be in flowering they have u eliminate the grow nute solution alltogether...is this correct? becuase the grow has nitrogen in it? should i add grow to my nute mix in flowering? or go out and get a nitrogen addative? if so what? I am in rockwool blocks

I use a bit of grow in mine, i think a PPm meter is key in my new problem. I over nuted and burned the shit outa my leafs. Im tired of coco and thinking im gonna go back to fox farms. Im also gonna get a PH/PPM meter. It seems my flowers arent getting much bigger, they are 7 weeks into flowering tommorow. Maybe its the strain... maybe theyl bloom more i dunno, id say ill cuttem down around 10 weeks jsut to make sure the trichs are a good amber and the hairs are orange (way to white right now)
