Leaving for a little less then a week

Ok so I am leaving for about a week, heres the thing my plants are bone dry after 3 days of not watering them. Any Ideas of what to do? I do not want to hold them back, I am using autoflowers should I change the lighting to 12 hours since they are flowering anyways plus then they wont get dry as fast?

I feel they they are kind of burning and the light is high as it goes and the temperature is only 75-78 F*

You can also get silicon gel tabs that hold water for moments like these get them at a local garden store, soak and drop to soil

How many plants and what medium? You can use a low tech auto water technique. Just put a 2 liter bottle filled with water with cotton top going from the bottle into your soil reaching the bottom of both (bottle and your soil). That should help.

Well, I know it's not preferred, but i travel a good bit ( 5-6 day stretches ) and I just water VERY WELL the night before i leave then I add about 1 1/2" of water to my trays ( which means my pot is sitting in water ) and off I go. Never had a problem, the plant just drinks up the water as it dries out.

Now I know there will most likely be comments saying that's not smart, but it works for me flawlessly, has for years, and I never worry about my plants while I'm gone. BTW, the 12/12 will save you some, but the difference is not going to be that great.

It is soil, fox farms, 4 plants. Oh ok cool it wont all shoot out at once? Do you place the bottle at the bottom of the soil or the top?

Oh ok I was thinking about that just loading up the floor with water lol, if I do go 12/12 can I go back to 18/24 or would I have to stay?

The bottle should be standing on its own (not upside down) the water will get pulled through the cotton rope like a straw.

Larger pots would also solve this, but I don't think its a good idea to transplant autos. Personally I usually just transplanted before I leave for long trips or do some topping, both of which tend to slow down their growth and consumption but also not good for autos.

I have trays under my pots to catch runoff. If you go to 12/12 i would not suggest stressing the plants by reverting back to 18/6. Just my opinion.

I agree, I would probably just leave it at 18/6 since you will likely loose more yield from that than from letting them go a couple extra days between watering.
