led driver question

hi im going to build a light for a 2x2x4 micro grow and im wanting to use these since they are really cheap

CLU048 x 4

MODULED 9980-B LED star heat sink, ø99mm, H 80mm, Black anodized. x4

im looking to run this with a hlg120 or a 240 but am not sure what would b best for these 4 lights, and if there is a cheap option i could go for since i dont care too much about quality on my first build

Hi again!

HLG-120h-c1050b will run exactly 4 at 1.05A, and hopefully that's as cheap as you need to go at $52. Under $200 and you'll have a hell of a 150W light for that space, and one you won't outgrow. One cob per sq ft at over 6000 lumens/sq ft. Right in the sweet spot.

Love to hear about cheaper drivers in the same efficiency ballpark though.

seems i cant order these clu048s from that site, and im having trouble finding anything near that cheap price of $12.50 per light but ive been looking around and i found these for 25$ , http://www.digikey.com.au/product-detail/en/bridgelux/BXRC-35E10K0-L-23/976-1264-ND/5180236.

could i swap to these lights and keep the same driver or would i need something bigger

I have no idea about the Veros, you should do the math. Voltage x 4, watts x 4. Bridgelux has good datasheets. Does CDI not ship to Australia?

They also have some Citizens in stock at tme.eu, maybe you'd have better luck there.

If not, CXA/CXB3070s are a great choice, you can get those and drivers at cutter.com.au, for good prices.

citizens sales politic sucks as hell, tme.eu is only offical distrubuiter for poland.. they are only allowed to sell in poland.

Yes unfortunately Citizen has decided on regional sales. Very frustrating in this day and age. You have to locate the sales rep for your country or region.

and the problem in germany is the regional sales dont sell at privat person-.-. the only way i could buy the led is at digikey. But digikey that facking rats want much money. A example, a led in america at cdiweb cost 12 dollar but here at digikey they want 25 Euros.
Today i called the office from citizen at germany, they told me they try to contact tme.eu for me. They wanne tell tme.eu that they are allowed to sell me Led in germany(beacuse im a privat person). He wanted to give me an answer via email if it works.
If you like i will tell you if it works for me. If it works you could try the same way

Cool, I am talking to a sales rep from Marl tomorrow. I should have prices and will let you know. If they are reasonable I will let you know.
