Just a couple shots I took a few days ago, nothing of substance. I dropped the lights from 22" to about 18". Will watch carefully. The plant front and center is a Mimosa Pudica and the it LOVES the LED's. The Top 44 should be ready any day now. Finally something good coming out of the LED tent yeeeehhhaaaaw.

You got the same LEDs you always had only this time you got good results or you also changed the LEDs? Glad it's workin out for you!

Same LED's, I'm just running 3 of them now with the power reduced to 140w and I'm running them higher per my last few posts. Just taking my time, being careful not to drop the lights on them too fast or hard, feeding potent solution but with less volume and more frequency. The nugs on the Top 44 are nice, but nowhere close to the results I get from HID. At this point, I'm glad I got any nugs worth smoking, lol. I have an HID ready to hang but for some reason I haven't done it yet. I'm thinking I will ride these lights out a while longer and see how they perform going into spring. Its doubtful I will run this tent in the summer b/c i work 60-70 hrs per week then.

Looking better, how many days you up to on these ladies? Mine are on day 46, lowered both the 290 and the 180 by 2 inches, hoping for anything, I'll shoot you some pics soon, seeing lots of purple on the maui hybrids

Its perpetual now instead of scrog.

I have:

(1) Top 44 @ 49 days
(1) AK47 @ 23 days
(1) Deep Purple x Haze @ 20 days
(1) Top 44 @ 12 days

The Top 44 at 49 days has some decent buds on it. No massive bulky ones, but everything on the plant is nice and dense. The nugs should add up nicely. The AK and DP x Haze are pretty much of perfect health at this point, this is the area where things start to happen so we'll see. The bud sites are established and they're growing what seems to be pretty dense buds so far for early on. Crossing my fingers. I'm thinking the power reduction has definitely helped so i dropped them down a bit like I said. I don't plant on getting any closer than that for at least another week. Taking it slow! Feel free to share here if you don't have a thread or journal, would love to see the progress.

too bad it looks like your LEDs are Lemons for whatever reason...at least you will get some good smoke out of it. Are you going to try new LEDs after the summer or you are done with them? At the moment I think you might be better served with the HID!!

I just realised the top44 is to the right! I couldnt see any buds anywhere, wasnt looking at the picture with the 49days plant!

You can see it at 40 days in post #264. I will try to update tomorrow night. I think I will be done growing by the time there are any LED's worth using on the market lol. I think I'm more interested in CMH than anything else right now. LED's are getting better but they're still not worth the money considering their production, not at the prices I paid for them anyways. If you're going for GPW, go crazy, I'd rather have the guaranteed harvest of HID.

I would agree some shots of my second grow at 46 days flowering, we went thru root nats, spider mites and brown fungus, cold temps, and still need about two more weeks , dont expect anything worthwhile just wanted to see if lites or me, decided its both...

Ouch! I would start over man, time to fog, clean and get some new cuts or seeds! Thanks for sharing some pics, I hope your next round works out much better. Your lights greater potential than that, your environmentals are not ideal if you're having all of those problems. A small ceramic heater during lights out will help keep temps up. Azamax and SM90 will help with gnats and mites if you have to exterminate mid grow. Better luck next time Hippy.

Some updates to share. Running the lights at about 18"-20" right now, everything is looking pretty damn good. A few pics with notes.

Just tent pics.

Here is the oldest of the bunch, Top 44 @ 52 days.

T44 (7).jpgT44.jpgT44 (1).jpgT44 (2).jpgT44 (3).jpgT44 (4).jpg

AK47 @ 26 days in the front, part of the younger top 44 @ 15 days in the back.

AK47.jpg

Top 44 @ 15 days. She's cropped in 2 halves and she's pretty bushy. Supercropped some of the mains to even out some of the penetration.

Top44 (2).jpgTop44.jpgTop44 (1).jpg

Deep Purple x Haze @ 23 days.

DP x Haze.jpgDP x Haze2.jpg

As I expected growth rates are less than HPS but they're very healthy. It looks like the power supplies and added distance are making a difference in plant health. Still not out of the woods yet. I'm hoping everything is good with the AK and the DP x Haze in another week. Backed off on the feeding a bit today... I've been feeding with 800 ppm bloom nutes with cal-mag every feeding. Just a bit of water today.

looking real nice, like the ak lots...
AK is a stud! I love this strain.

nice update! things looking GREAT in there =D
Thanks man, much better than a month ago.

I switched the tent up today. I'm now running 2 of the LED's and a digital 600 HPS with no lens/ducting. Everything is up nice and high to see how everything responds for a bit. I'm confident that I can run with these LED's solo but I want to see what I can push this tent to since I've missed almost 2 harvests this winter playing with them.

nice, looking forward to see the outcome, if you experience bleaching or burning of the leaves I wouldnt mind seeing the pics, I too run LEDs-HIDs ...and my leaves are not at their best at the moment but it could be other factor as well,,, but my first impression is that I simply had too much light spectrum crossing each other, not sure what to think

Well I would first look at the environment. Temp, air movement, light distance, air circulation. Once you rule all of that out it looks like there's more to your sickness than just the lighting. Next thing I would do is water with either straight water or low ppm solution and then test the runoff PPMs and PH to see what's going on in the medium. My leaves have looked sick from bleaching and also some other sort of micro deficiency, but different than yours. Feeding with cal mag and a sturdy nutrient solution seems to have helped.

What distance are your lights? What are you temps? What kind of nute line are you using and to what strength?

Shwagbag you wrote that growht rates are less than HPS. I'm thinking to obtain LED's but cannot make conclusions. Please tell how big is the difference in growth/crop while using LED/HPS.
thanks!

You're asking the wrong guy. If you read the thread you'll see I'm just now starting to have some success with them. I haven't even harvested a plant worth a shit from the tent yet lol. If you're looking for smaller yields, efficiency and economy for a small grow then LED's will work fine. If you're looking to maximize your yield or to grow for more than one person stick with HID.

well I grow in a supersoil, no bottled nutes. I think it was the lights... since I backed off the FERO it seems to have stopped. Never looked at my PH since I started growing back in October... I am currently smoking some of the best buds of my life. Next year I will copy the exact subcool's recipe and everything should be even better.
