LED grow light 2 part question

Thank you guys for the info. I must say I am very intrigued by the COB. I am actually growing in a stealth plywood box I built in a 14 gallon DWC system. Finishing up my first grow. The super skunk is getting close.
Cobs/led's are great for small cabinets/tents. You're not using 1 source of light like hps/mh and blasting all your photons from one bulb. In your case you'd have 4 or 5 cobs which allows you to run each one softer and get your plants closer to the light without being fried. Cob fixtures are also quite thin and work great in small spaces compared to hps/mh fixtures.

What about going up to the 300 watt version instead of the 250 watt.

I think you'd be better off spending the extra money on something else like great seeds or an agromax pure uv bulb to run 10 or 15 minutes at a time once or twice a day.
The frame on the 300w is as wide as your grow box which places the 4 corner cobs literally in the corner of your tent. You're probably better off having less wattage but having that wattage more directly over your plant.

200 watts of COB will be great for that space. More than enough light. There is heat, but it's manageable with a 180 CFM Vortex fan attached to a power dimmer.
Or for $250 you can get the two VERO 29 kit and build the frame yourself (That's what i did).... 4 lights is better than 2 lights though just because of the light being better disbursed over the canopy.

A 400w or 600w HPS could be difficult to get inside your tent.. They don't really make small enough air cooled hoods or cooltubes to fit inside small tents and allow room for ducting etc... You want air cooled for HPS, trust me...

Go for the Cobs or Quantum..

Quantums are a better solution for that space. They can be mounted higher then cob's so you get more vertical grow space. A cob with a heatsink is 5" high. A QB with a heatsink is 1/2". 2 qb's would fill the space. 1 would be fine.

I have nothing against cob's, but for this space 4 cobs is overkill and bulky.

So I am currently using a 400 watt Mars II in a 2.5' x 2.5' x 5.5' height box. I was thinking about upgrading to the Platinum LED light anybody know or have any experience with that brand? Other question while I am it. What would be better one of those in a 450 watt or 2 300 watt lights. Thanks in advance
I have the p450 in a 2x3 which is a great size for my area if I was you I would get 2 300 so you can get more light coverage
