Well if you are right, then I will hear about it. Or see it. And they will be everywhere soon. Right now all I see is a bunch of over zealous people ranting. If it's all true the light will speak for itself. There would be no need to berate and belittle other people attempting to contribute to the forum because they don't happen to own a COB.
lol you haven't notice they are everywhere that's why everybody said something about them and they have tons of pics and threads and videos right here first page in the led section just keep whining you obviously don't want to be apart of this buy another KIND i don't care in fact they have a special spider light that's advertised on this forum for people like you!
on second look almost everyone of the threads on the first page of the led section talks about cobs lol

I have been trying to look for threads with impressive results. I just checked the kessil thread you commeted on... Please point me in the right direction. I have been looking. Can you show me a thread with some actual results?

Or, you know, you could just keep insulting me for no reason...

Alright....

Let me break it down for you.

What kind of LEDs does Kind use? Do they even say? No? Okay....

They use Epistar and/or Bridgelux and/or Epiled chips, or no-name chips, encapsulated in their own standard package. If they used anything noteworthy, they'd say so.

Epistar, Epiled and Bridgelux single color chips aren't that noteworthy output-wise compared to say, Cree, Osram and Philips as well as Nichia. And especially when they're packaged in the type of plastic encapsulation that they're in.

Every color that Kind uses, can be duplicated with Cree, Osram, Nichia and Philips and have double the efficiency or better.

If you're getting 250mw (at most) per 1w of electricity with Kind LEDs, what makes you think Kind is better than the Cree, Philips, Nichia and Osram options that can deliver 500mw+ per 1w of electricity?

That's like saying a 75 lumen per watt HPS is better than a150 lumem per watt HPS, just because it is in a pretty reflector.

With all that said, you don't need some magic secret sauce spectrum to grow. HPS has a funky spectrum and still grows great. COBs has much better output than HPS, and a better spectrum.

What's so hard to understand about that? What makes Kind so much better? Explain will you?

"Look at my plants" is not an acceptable answer. If you can get double output per watt or better, you know what, whatever.

Smoke your crack. Fuck off.

Im not stupid. I hear what your saying. But anyone can say anything. Do you have any pictures?

The only claim I made was I like my light, and I showed results...

I didn't insult anyone. Or tell anyone to fuck off. I never even said I don't like COB.

Seriously, where is the hostility coming from?

Many people in here have been on LED tech for quite a while now. It's not just noobs making claims. People get annoyed by real noobs showing up here demanding proof and arguing without reading the technical detail and endless previous threads which actually give you the info you are looking for.

I love it! I have the Kind K3 L600. You can check out my grow threads, I'm about to update/harvest my current grow and I expect to get around 1lb from my L600.

I can't stand all these people that only say DIY. I'm not an electrician. I wouldn't build my own light of any kind. I have a full time job that pays well. I dont have the time to build my own shit. I don't mind paying a little extra for a quality light from a reputable company with a great warranty. No headache, no time, no worries.
I had an L6,CLW 200,220,440,Onyx bloomx2= "had"

I now use cob based led, whole new game.

Sent from my SM-G900V using Rollitup mobile app

Its not because you don't own a more efficient COB light, but because there are multiple, more efficient, LED light brands, in the same/similar price range. Like Apache Tech, Area 51, and hell, even California Light Works is more efficient. The topic has been discussed to death on here, but if you had bothered to read anybodys threads/posts in this sub-forum, you'd know that.
It's you're attitude of "Hey, I'm inventing the wheel here, let me tell you all about it" that's so bothersome. WE ARE THE PRO'S, WITH THE GROWS TO SHOW IT, YET YOU KEEP TRYING TO ARGUE POINTS THAT HAVE BEEN DEAD FOR YEARS, AND TELL US OUR BUSINESS. THAT KIND OF BEHAVIOR RUBS PEOPLE THE WRONG WAY, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR LITERALLY SURROUNDED BY THE INTERNETS BEST DATABASE FOR LED/COB GROW TECHNOLOGY, AND YOU'RE CLEARLY NOT UTILIZING IT.

My guess is that you're not shilling for KIND specifically, but for the closet grow company that you keep mentioning, and chances are that the KIND grow package is their most expensive set-up. Am I right? So here you are showing it off, with all of it's failures that you so kindly keep trying to overlook, to really help sell the bundle.
Let me introduce you to someone, @twilightled2015, you two should really take the time to get to know one another, you have a lot in common.

When did I say anything of the sort?

I never spoke against COB. I don't know anything about them. I just responded to people attacking me for liking my light THAT HAS WORKED GREAT FOR ME.

I have been growing for a very long time. LEDs are new to me. And I just joined this forum. Forgive me for not reading every thread.

I first started growing and posting on overgrow and planet ganja. That's how I learned. They actually helped me. They didn't tell me to fuck off when I told them I liked my hempy buckets.

Sorry for ruining your day with my attempt to share a video comparing LED lights. Sorry they aren't the lights you approve of. My bad.

Do you also scream at people who drive a more expensive, less efficient car than you?

Or do you just get mad because you wish you could afford their car?

Nope. But if they feel the need to park in my drive way, and tell me what a lean, mean, speed machine they drive. I'll feel the need to point out that they've got a flat tire and are sporting dealer plates.
So this is your driveway? My bad. Excuse me for trespassing. You guys should have application process for this forum. Obviously not everyone is welcome.

Guys.... It's and led discussion, if you don't like LED's, go chat elsewhere. A lot of this b.s. Is what makes finding valid information difficult. Stand down....it's ridiculous why this remains an issue. Do people hate on other people's shoes? Cars? I mean, we all have preferences. Fine. It all works guys. Efficiency is more important to some than others, some do large scale, some do small. So,e have money, some have desire to create. No biggy, everyone...relax-we are all growing an amazing plant.

Cheers-
