Led Growing Is The Way Of The Future My Friends

I'm new here and also just had some trouble with htg I basically called and asked for a refund for everything and they said they would send a return box

well I bought a fan that was dead on arrival and then I bought some diamod foil to make a grow tent. I was nearly finished with the tent when I noticed that light shines thru the stuff. The site says its light proof and wont crinkle and as soon as you move it, it crinkles and then lets light through. I told the guy this stuff and he was just like ok well just send it back then. He said nothing of the material letting light through which leads me to believe that he already knew it.

I must say though the guy was nice about it and didnt really question me. He could have refused to take it back. It was also somewhat hard to get ahold of them I called a couple of times during business hours and got no one and then emailed and never got a response. Eventually I sent another email and got someone

Most companies are usually pretty slow when you're looking for a refund,if the return box doesn't arrive soon keep ringing them.

yeah I'll keep trying if they dont send it although I really hope they do. the guy seemed nice enough except for it seemed like he knew what I was talking about and wasnt surprised I was disappointed

HTG is really good with returns, the only issue I ever had with them were them lying about their LEDs to me.

I bought a 4" Vortex fan from them, and decided I didn't want it because it was too loud for the area where I needed it, so I asked if I could return it, and they gave me a full refund.

Only thing I lost out on was shipping costs.

Their LEDs still suck.

I think you could get that easily with the 180 as well but if you have a 3x3 space and usually want to do more than 2-3 plants then why not spend the extra 100 and get the bigger more versatile unit, it makes more sense really.
To be perfectly honest in my mind if you have the 3x3 i would just get 550, yeah its overkill and pricier but boy it would outperform in your space anything including up to 600 HID in there.
Yeah I know.if I had the money to fork out upfront like that I Wouk get the 550 but I have kids and other priorities other than to dish out 800-900 dollars on a light. I wish I did have it tho.I would love to use that but I think I would be good for now using one of the smaller systems to try them out and see how well I like led. like already stated if it can give me a quarter pound with no problem then I will lOok into the bigger systems as then I would experience first hand with led.

buy a grow tent bro might be a few extra bucks but soooo fucking worth it i paid $150 for my 4x4x7 tent and it is from china but is built decent and dosent off gas at all all mylar on the inside and black duffle bag matterial on the outside

i have a question, im gonna be starting my first hydroponic grow in the next 3-4 weeks, im still in the debate to go led or hid, i was leaning towards led and going with the blackstar 240, now my question is how many plants do you think this light can handle in a 3x3 grow tent ? im trying to get atleast 28 grams per plant im also wanting to use this light from seed to flowering or should i use this light specifically for flowering ? i dont have tons of money atm and trying to eventually get a setup where im pulling 12-16 ounces per harvest, im just debateful if i should go with HID first and then upgrade to led, any thoughts or idea's would be very helpful

I would say instead of getting the blackstar go for the spectra or 357 or something similar, I havent heard many good things about the blackstar. You may be able to get an oz per plant but with that blackstar probably not more than a couple of plants. I've seen 2 spectra 290's pull 13 or 14 ounces. Check out irishboy's grows.

The 550W unit i use from pro grow has a core footprint of about 3x3. The real draw is 420W. Selective switch is really only good for veg, I don't know if the red only spectrum is better than full spectrum but either way you would have a basking of light in that space.

Curly: no offense but those buds are weak sauce for day 35. Looks to me like week 2, Are you using any flowering nutrient?
