Led light height

Hello everyone so I got a grow going I’m on my 3rd go so I’m no pro. Using 2 Phlizon 1200w, I’m wondering about light height I know it says 24inches for veg and 18” for flower now my crops have been relatively short I’m wondering how I can make them reach and grow a bit taller. Like how often should I raise the lights how much at once that sorta thing. Thanks

Reach for light? I think you’re light is fine that’s why they are short my 2 cents

OP; I think you answered your own question. Raise your light to promote stretch.

Oh sorry guys yes I know to raise them I’m just wondering how much to raise them at once and how often. When measuring distance from light to plant should I measure from light down to the top of plant, middle, down to where the medium starts. I’m not having any issues I would just like to know best ways to achieve a taller crop this year instead of all being stubby 15 inch plants just seems like they’re growing bushy not lengthy. Thanks

Yea see I always figured it was the average top of canopy. I mean I’ve grown a couple crops before and got some killer bud and I’ve grown outdoors for years and even done some hps grows in past years But those just max height of room or tent and the plants grow into them.
They are pheno Week 3 and one auto week 2 so I mean there on track I just wanted to see if I could stretch them taller this round. And not have stubby plants, tho it could be the cheap lights I’m running Phlizon 1200w high power x 2, 5 gal fabric pots
3 power africa mk ultra fast, 3 beanstalk fast and 3 Jack Herer fast and one triple xl auto

you have both veg and bloom switches on?
I have the 900w model and I noticed a difference after switching both on

Attach a piece of wire to your light, let it hang, measure it to be 18" long and leave it there. You can adjust to the end of the wire as often as you like,
I usually adjust in 1 to 1.5 inch increments, a little above end of wire let grow to a little over wire.
