LED Light Spectrums

So in the time I have been trying this LED thing I have gone from one spectrum to another and haven't found the right one yet. I do have to say that a single 100 watt COB LED chip will produce the DOB or integrated chip works also growing on a small scale I can play around a little more with less damage. Shown below are some led chips i've used don't ask me technical shit I can't answer it but what you see is what u get. What i use as lighting can be used in a micro or cab grow or small tent or closet grow, of course always room for mods. I've heard when it comes to lights to buy this light or that and as many when I first kicked off it was with cfl spirals hell I took an old big screen floor model TV gutted it and wired in vanity light bar using aluminum baking pans for hoods. Worked damned good Lol got some tasty but fluffy buds because of whatever; not intense enough light etc.Went from that to 150w HPS but due to space confinements being limited to 2'x2' or 4 square feet although I did have an excellent run using 3 150w HPS in a 4'x8' or 32 square ft plywood box i made. But as I decided to go smaller less obvious I dropped back to try the Chinese COB's using any 12v power supply with 3a ability and a DC_DC boost converter there are many and much more information on the internet. My interest is actual best spectrum so I'm sharing what I'm doing to see what happens and share that experience. So I have this area that's 2'x3.5' or 7 square feet, my plan was to SCROG this Burmese bag seed but it grew so fast and you know how it is when there's too many things going on so before i knew it, its going crazy.Oh by the way I grow in 100% perlite using Dyna Gro products. Anyway this freaking thing scared me in other words thought it was a male because it grew so fast! using the 100w cool white (CW) it went from the 3wk old image below and in 30 days to the other image using just a 100w DOB (integrated circuit) LED. I just switched over to a tri colored arrangement of 100w warm white(WW) 100w red and 100w royal blue because the 7 square footage requires at least 300w of lighting i read that somewhere. Image 20190408 is a fridge grow using 2 100w COB chips 2 WW and a 50w full spectrum LED that turned out really flavorful nice tight bud lights were about 8-10' from tops. Now to see what this spectrum will do I'm hopeful that the deep blue will keep things tight during flowering and I will post the results for any who view this thread. Hope its helpful although I'm sure everybody know's this already

cool, a new thread about spectrums. because the other ones had too much pages already?
so without the critique what spectrum are you using if any. This shit is all trial an error and yes there are many write ups about spectrum's and this is mine. hahaha say something constructive if able

ths was an intellectual response
You need to include IR and UV...
-+ yes sir i was thinking that that royal blue because it's a deep blue helps with the uv isn't that like black light or something? I can be wrong, and this is why I started this thread for direct inputs and thank you for that OkieSmoke this image is what i think gives a spectral example. Tell me something else I need to know please and remember this is a tiny setup

In short, no. From what I understand they are special chips and more than a little expensive. However, all my LEDs have at least one of each and it appears they are not working, but I have been assured they are...LOL! Maybe someone with more knowledge can fill in the blanks. Lighting is entering a new age across the spectrum from HPS, CFL,. and LEDs. Looking for cheap and great things soon ;)

A UV emitting diode has no obvious light that we can see okay I get that and will look into them. Again thanks for your response.

You should really start by throwing those led in the garbage but only if you actually care about spectrum. If you are just trying to build the cheapest light possible maybe change the name of the thread? With those led you have no clue what spectrum they are to begin with so you can't accurately tweak the spectrum

Now that would be taken as some good advise presented this way it's understandable that a COB from a Chinese refuse bin is questionable but again I've grown nice using it was in fact cheapest quickest. "I'm not a smart man"

Hey OkieSmoke would you say something like this would be a good investment? https://www.amazon.com/Chanzon-Infrared-14V-16V-Components-Lighting/dp/B01DBZIAAM/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_60_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=TGBK451DNG0F8SWQPQ9G as far as an additional light source

Yeah I know they will grow but don't start with low quality like that then try to build a spectrum around it. Good quality cobs are really cheap now

Two questions...do you know what spectrum is for flower? White? And what is that in the pot you’re growing in? I’m still trying to figure out leds myself.

sorry been a long time since i have been here but to answer that question you probably have heard to use warm white because of its yellow reddish hue. Hey i've used warm white /cool white combos what i'm trying to do now is find a nice spectrum to run year round and not have the heat issues in the summer. I guess a kind of low light grow. and want to do myself cheap despite the critics. I've found my one cab grew a nice bush under cool white just had to stay close use 3 100w led chips from CH been using still without problems kind of antique but hey its not manufacturing. Hope that helps but I'm sure you've found your answers by now. #babbling. Oh the pot came frome the dollar tree and I have the bottom of it filled 3/4 of the way perlite and the rest clay pebbles.
