LED Lights? Pros & Cons? Techniques & Advice?

Ok so here it is folks. I currently have a 400 watt Apollo HID grow light which is more then enough for my 6 plants in my closet. Ive been reading about LED lights and since heat is a battle im losing i was looking to make the switch.

My question is what watt, colorband, blah blah blah etc is best suited to replace my 400 watt HID light and still get the same results? Any general info on LED lights negative or positive i would like to hear as well. Also how they pertain to growing hydroponically which we all know is the best way to go!!!!!!
