led lights

i was looking on ebay at some led grow lights and most of them had around 250 lights and used 13 watts. if i was to grow with these would i have to use like 15 of them to match the growing capabilitys of my 150watt cfl???

Dont mess with that one....it's a joke. Those are nothing more than LED christmas lights spaced 1" apart and they put out sh*t for light. Not to bash LED xmas lights though. I made a panel for a buddy that has 1400 lights (ratio-ed 5 blue to one white) spaced 1/2" apart and it works great for the first month of veg.

ok. if that won was shitty could you post a link to a led panel that runs off less then 200 watts thats less then 100$.

how many watts of led would i need to equal the same amount of output my 150 watt cfl has? by output i dont mean like watts i mean its growing capabilitys.

i think that what you`re looking for is rather lumens and light temperature rather than wattage

yes and no.... its just im not going to bother switching to led if it requires more wattage to grow as good as cfl.

If your trying to spend under 100$ your better off just adding more CFL's. Also, if you do indeed want an LED I would recommend the UFO versions. The girls love it.... Beware of eBay UFO's. If you do buy one, make sure the seller is located in the US and not in China. HTGSupply.com has alot of great products.

150w of LED shits on 150w CFL. I dont know the exact numbers but they do not compare...

Its also the right kind of light... Healthy light... Only the lights plants really use....

No, but what you're looking for is a rig that uses 1 watt leds. And no offense, man...wasn't trying to piss you off, but my buddy got ebay crazy and ordered a ton of led grow lights a while back. He ordered several different UFOs and several panels. That thing you posted a pic of is EXACTLY one of the panels he got and believe me, I'm saving you an asston of heartache. It's extremely reminiscent of a light bright.

lol srry if i seamed angry, i wasn't. but anyways i couldn't find any UFO led lights that arn't made in china. got a link to some? and i hear that there expensive? expensive as in like 500$ for a single rig.

Good, reliable lights WITH a one-year warranty. And no...these lights are less than 200 per.

Pretty much all UFO's are made in China. Even Cammies light is made in China if I remember right. What Irishboy is using seems to be alright but he is not finished yet with testing. The light I am using is doing good also and it is made in Texas. Goto G2led.com talk with tim. I would not buy until you see some of the threads finish out completly. Just my input.
