My spacing currently is the issue. My plan is/was to mount drivers on fixture. I am currently planning a 30x30" fixture for a 3'x3' table. Outside rows with 3- 3500k. Sinks are 5.23 wide. so 2 on end and one in middle with 7 1/4" space between.

Middle row with 2 4000k with 6.5 spacing. Then mount the 2 drivers perpendicular between row 1 and 3.

Something like this.

Ignore the period. I am doing this on my phone. The I's represent the positioning of the ballasts.

Damn fucking phone wont let me do what I want! The 2- I's are supposed to be centered between the top and bottom middle X

I think this is what I am going to go with. 30x30. I am not too worried about heat as I plan to configure some sort of active cooling setup if heat becomes an issue. Thankfully soon that will not be an issue.tmp_29598-IMAG1915-314032961.jpg

I spread them out a little more thinking that the room is bigger than 3' and when there is room they will grow. Was trying to mach your flower canopy. Were you going to scrog at all?

I usually train/lst my plants and the canopy rarely exceeds my 3x6. This run and going forward I plan to scrog. So I for sure wont out grow my 3x6 parameters.

How does this work for spread/coverage in the middle? I know the hotspot is in the middle which is why I am only putting 2 in the middle with my layout.

I also figured that since my plants don't go beyond my 3x6 (or very little if they do) I am better utilizing my light and keeping it all or as much as I can inside the 3x6 instead of it going outside of those dimensions. Maybe I am wrong, but it seems to make sense to me.

My layout has about 7" avg of spacing give or take. So would that not give a better coverage? The space between sinks on top amd bottom row is 7.25". The space between the rows is 7.125" and the space between sinks in middle row is 6.5". I am not questioning your input but moreso questioning my thought process.

You can hang the drivers anywhere along the outside so I wouldn't overthink them and your footprint circle diameter Is close to 2X the height with the reflectors. you will get a lot of overlapping. the plants are going to have to grow above the cobs to find any shade. That should work well.

This would do well in a 3x6 and actually have 6" on the ends of free space.

I built mine just like I suggested for yours. It (8 cob fixture) works perfect in just shy of a 4x4 area.
I layed the config out a dozen times before I noticed when the light would not be so hot in the middle or too soft and 12" was the magic number for me. How I have it in the sketch is very even from edge to edge toward the center in terms of hotspots.
